It’s my beautiful daughter’s 9th birthday today and she requested an Isadora Moon cake. For those that don’t know, she’s a half fairy half vampire 🧚🏻🧛🏻‍♀️ I’ve never done a half and half cake before so this was slightly daunting! 🙈 The vampire side is black and pink stripes with stars to tie in with Isadora’s outfit and the fairy side has a fairy door, roses and cute little toadstools 🍄 Inside is the birthday girl’s favourite chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. The gorgeous topper by Creative Crafts finishes it off perfectly 🤩

So I don’t usually do fondant or novelty cakes cause it just isn’t in my skill set 🙈 but my lovely niece turned 3 on Friday and requested a doughnut shaped cake with rainbow sponge, pink icing and unicorn sprinkles. I had to give it a go! Hoping I hit the brief for her 🤣

I had the absolute pleasure of making this wedding cake for my oldest, closest friend, Emily, and her husband(!) Lewis yesterday.

Bottom tier was lemon sponge with lemon buttercream and lemon curd 🍋

Middle tier was chocolate with chocolate buttercream 🍫

And the top tier was Bakewell themed with an almond sponge, vanilla buttercream and jam 🍒

All coated with vanilla buttercream in a semi-naked finish and the gorgeous flowers used for the bouquets, button holes and decorations on the day 💐

Last picture is my daughter (and bridesmaid 🥰) showing her approval of the cake! 🤣 We had such a perfect day celebrating at Pensthorpe Natural Park ❤️ Congratulations Mr & Mrs Drummie 🥰

Two and a half years ago, the lovely Meg asked me if I would make her wedding cake and, of course, I was so happy to be asked and very excited to make it! (Swipe to see the original message, so sweet!). The big day finally rolled around this weekend, and I was so pleased with the outcome (and hopefully she and Mark were, too 😁).

A 12 inch bottom tier consisting of four layers of lemon sponge sandwiched with lemon buttercream and lemon curd 🍋

A 9 inch middle tier consisting of four layers of carrot cake sandwiched with vanilla buttercream 🥕

And a 6 inch top tier consisting of four layers of chocolate sponge sandwiched with vanilla buttercream and black cherry jam 🍒

All finished off with a coating of vanilla buttercream, gold edging to each tier and some artificial peonies and eucalyptus ❤️

And I even got to sample some myself in the evening 😋 Congratulations Meg and Mark! 💕

This beauty was collected yesterday for a party 🎉 Four layers of lemon sponge sandwiched with lemon buttercream and raspberry jam, coated in more lemon buttercream and finished off with a white chocolate drip, buttercream flowers and a sparkly topper ✨

This pretty pink cake went out today. Inside are four layers of caramel sponge, sandwiched with vanilla buttercream and salted caramel sauce. All coated in pink vanilla buttercream and finished with a white chocolate drip, more buttercream, mini Jammie Dodgers and Party Rings, sprinkles and glitter! 💖

Kinder overload cake!! Four layers of chocolate sponge sandwiched and coated in chocolate buttercream, finished with a milk chocolate drip and topped with Kinder chocolate, Kinder eggs, Kinder Bueno and Kinder Happy Hippos! A spritz of edible glitter and a birthday topper and it’s good to go ❤️
