Important information about defrosting sourdough bread with olives or sun-dried tomatoes
Sourdough bread with additions such as olives or sun-dried tomatoes contains more natural moisture.
If defrosted at room temperature or in plastic, the bread may feel damp or “wet”. This is normal and does not mean the bread is faulty.
For best results, we recommend defrosting in the oven: • Preheat oven to 160°C
• Remove all packaging
• Heat the bread for 25–30 minutes
• Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing
This allows excess moisture to evaporate, restores the crust and brings the bread back to its best texture and flavour.
Room-temperature defrosting is not recommended for sourdough with moist additions.
