The Ginger Cat Deli Bakery - Catering - Wholesale - Markets - Events Hello from owners Ben & Sally Sullivan. The Ginger Cat Deli was born on 1st July 2015!

After ten years of working in an office and dreaming of starting our own food business, a shop in Exminster came up for sale and we thought we would take the plunge. Our passion is home baking. From pasties, pies and sausage rolls to our famous scotch eggs, cakes and traybakes – the list goes on and we are increasing our range all the time. We have built a shop filled with beautiful and interestin

g goodies with our focus being Westcountry producers and suppliers. We also sell everyday essentials and use this excellent produce in our homemade food.

Well this is it! The time has come and our last trading day at our Exminster deli will be THIS SATURDAY 26TH NOVEMBER!! EEK! 🙀

We’ll be there on Saturday so please come and say hi. We’ll be doing our Xmas specials, bacon & sausage sandwiches. Alongside plenty of cake, pies, hot pasties and sausage rolls to see us off.

Hopefully, the new owners will be taking over shortly. We can’t disclose who they are just yet but think they are a fantastic fit for you lovely Exminster folk and couldn’t be happier passing on our little shop (where everything started) to them.

Don’t forget The Ginger Cat is not going anywhere!!! We are expanding our wholesale all the time and you can find us in some fantastic places around Devon. We’ll be keeping you updated on here about our journey from pensions to pasties!

Well this is it! The time has come and our last trading day at our Exminster deli will be THIS SATURDAY 26TH NOVEMBER!! EEK! 🙀

Hey 👋 Sorry for the radio silence, it’s been so busy and decided to take an extended break from social media and to be honest, it’s been lovely!!

However, this is the best place to let you know that it’s time to get festive!! 🎄

Our Christmas range of pies, pasties & sausage rolls are ready to go and our hot special sandwiches are on in the deli right now.

Think hot roast turkey, homemade sausage meat stuffing & cranberry for one, add brie for extra oozey goodness!

Some of you may have seen that our beloved deli in Exminster is up for sale.

It has not been an easy decision but after 7 years we think it’s the perfect time to hand over to someone new. Who can continue the amazing business we have built up and add their own magic and ideas to make it better than ever 💫

Exminster has been unbelievably supportive from the start of our little venture and we are forever grateful for this. You guys are the best 🧡

However, we need to find some balance and running two businesses is tricky! In the space of 3 months in 2020 we opened our production kitchen in Cullompton, the first national lockdowns came in and our wild, beautiful daughter was born. It’s been a rollercoaster ever since!! Add on massive hikes in prices for energy, fuel and ingredient costs and the impossibility of getting staff we’ve had to deal with a lot and it’s time to focus and bring some harmony into our lives.

The Ginger Cat wholesale is thriving and we won’t be going anywhere!! You can find us at some of the most respected establishments in Devon, something we are so so proud of and we will keep growing and keeping people well fed! We may just be able to take a holiday occasionally and spend more time as a family 🧡
