Our Story

Hello from owners Ben & Sally Sullivan. After ten years of working in an office and dreaming of starting our own food business, a shop in Exminster came up for sale and we thought we would take the plunge. The Ginger Cat Deli was born on 1st July 2015! Our passion is home baking. From pasties, pies and sausage rolls to our famous scotch eggs, cakes and traybakes – the list goes on and we are increasing our range all the time.

We are a great stop to pick up lunch, as we are only a short drive from Marsh Barton, Alphington & Pynes Hill. We do a large range of delicious baps, baguettes and salad boxes alongside our bakery range and customers can pre-order on our website, Facebook or by phone to save time.

We also provide business/corporate and private catering. From small gatherings to large events. Our website shows a comprehensive list of what we can offer and prices. We have built a shop filled with beautiful and interesting goodies with our focus being Westcountry producers and suppliers. We also sell everyday essentials and use this excellent produce in our homemade food – free range eggs from Fenton Farm Eggs (Wellington), bread delivered fresh each morning from Ryders Bakery (Kenn), sausages from Chinns (Crediton), meat from Fordmore Farmshop (Cullompton),including Devon longhorn beef for our sandwiches, pies and pasties and much more.

From our new kitchen in Cullompton we now offer wholesale on our savoury products. You can find us at some fantastic local businesses: Greendale Farmshop, Bon Gout Deli, Ebdons Refreshments, Thornes Farmshop to name a few!
