For those who ask why I charge what I charge — you’re not just paying for my time, you’re paying for my skill, my experience, and the journey behind it.
I’m a self-taught baker. I didn’t go to college for this ish - although I do now have my credentials.
There were so many nights I cried over cakes that didn’t look how I imagined them. Nights I wanted to give up right there and then — but I kept going, thinking about the legacy I’m building for my children.
This is all for them.
To teach my babies that dreams do become reality, and that nothing just falls into your lap — we work for it.
I lost my mum in the very first year of my business.
As hard as it was to keep going, by God’s grace I did it scared, I did it grieving, I did it unsure, and I did it alone.
I pushed through the naysayers.
Through the ones who only ever saw a “hobby”.
Friends who never liked my work, never acknowledged my posts.
The people I thought would be my biggest cheerleaders suddenly went quiet.
I nearly gave up last year.
I took an 8-month hiatus and truly convinced myself I didn’t have what it took…
Now I’ve just welcomed my 5th year of business.
Now my children can see the fruits of my labour and tenacity.
Now I am so much more confident in what I have to offer my clients.
I used to worry and stress about finding my niche, but through the feedback from my wonderful customers, I’ve finally discovered it.
And I am so excited about what the next 5 years will bring for E&E’s Exquisite Treats.
This is just the beginning ✨
