Throw back to last August when I made my son this cake for his 9th birthday. I very rarely make cakes anymore other than for my kids so I’m so very out of practise and they take me so much longer but it’s just the best feeling when your child’s eyes light up at the cake you’ve made them 😃

The finished result! This is my beautiful girl at her 5th birthday meal with the cake she requested mummy make for her.
I was so upset I couldn’t make her cake last year so even though it did cause me a couple of issues as I’m a little out of practise I couldn’t be happier than when I saw her face when she saw the cake. The horns and ears were put on by my princess 😃💗

Though I’m not taking on any cake orders at present I am always happy to whip up a batch of brownies if anyone would like to treat a family member friend or even themselves 😜

The drip of a drip cake almost sends me over the edge every time but I do like the look of a finished drip cake, that’s maybe because I’m an absolute chocoholic 🙊
This was a 8 layer chocolate cake, filled with chocolate buttercream and then covered in peppermint buttercream before having lots of mint chocolate thrown at (not literally) and a handmade (by me) glitter 40

Dusted off my apron for the first time this year! Well I bake most weeks but I mean first time this year I’ve made a proper cake. A chocolate drip cake loaded with chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate!
(Forgot to take it out of the box for a proper picture 🤦🏽‍♀️)

Missing making cakes a tiny bit, I think mainly because I missed making my little girls joint birthday cake, though thankfully I knew a totally awesome cake maker than done it for me & the girls were very happy. This was my 2018 in cake, mostly all made in the first half of the year as then it all got a bit hectic. What a varied lot of cakes! I’m very lucky to get so many different challenges, thanks to everyone who asked me to make one of these cakes last year 😘

For those that may not know a couple of weeks ago I slipped while out running (got to work off all those brownies somehow) and fractured my radial head in my right elbow and I’m right handed so until I can move my arm and start to get some strength back I am not able to take on any orders as I’d hate to guess I’d be better by a certain date then actually not be. Hope to be back baking quickly and when I am I’m going to do a little giveaway to try and make up for my cancelled valentines brownies

With valentines approaching I was thinking of offering a limited amount of rolo brownie boxes in boxes of 8 for £14 or 12 for £18. Would anyone be interested in this?
