My Christmas window from way back...🌲

Finally! A post from Sweet Unique....I painted this Festive Window scene the other day. The shop hasn't been open much recently but we're still here with Festive goodies to take away and order! X 🎄

This is a sugar model I made of my daughter for her Naming Ceremony when she was less than 1 year old. She'll be 14 in August! ❤️

She sits on a shelf in my shop and I often show her to customers.

I recreated her in her tiny pink dress all those years ago and I still feel happy when I look at it or hold it in my hand 🥰

I'm often told by many of my wonderful customers that they have kept little sugar items from special cakes. They're one offs I guess and each little item captures a memory, a moment. Something special.

So, if you're wondering how long sugar models last...it's a long time! Obviously you're not going to eat it after all this time and they do fade a little but to have a physical object, a reminder of a special occasion can bring real joy.

If you have any sugar models from cakes I've made, I'd love to hear about them . Even post a picture and tell me about the cake and why you've kept it.
