Bring back ruffles! ❤️

It was such a glorious Autumn day when I delivered and set this cake up at Carlowrie Castle.

Just look at the colours of the leaves! An absolutely beautiful venue and I think the wedding cake fitted perfectly.

Ruffles used to be such a big trend on wedding cakes and I miss them!

This was a cake I made many years ago for a wedding at the stunning Carlowrie Castle

I also used edible lustre dust in this design to create a shimmery wedding gown fabric feel of luxury. I still love using it!

Trends will continue to change but I love looking back at what was once totally in!

Will ruffles return??
