Hi folks,

Come and say hi to Rocky and Khadijah who will have bread, buns, eggs, pasta, flour and herbal remedies for you from 10am-1pm tomorrow.

Focaccia this week is topped with gijnij // beetroot, feta & thyme
Sweet buns are cinnamon // blackcurrant with toasted coconut frangipane
and the sweet treat is our brownie :)

Hi everyone,

Khadijah and Paddy will be at the window from 10am-1pm tomorrow with some delicious bakes to warm you up as the weather turns autumnal! 🍂

Focaccia this week is topped with gijnij & feta // olive & rosemary // courgette & herb oil
Sweet buns are cinnamon // spiced pumpkin & maple walnut 🍁
Brownie is the sweet treat

Hello!

We'll be back at the window tomorrow from 10am-1pm with baked goods and pantry staples aplenty, plus Edinburgh Agroecology Coop have dropped off some of their spicy leaf mix and purple sprouting broccoli 🥦

Focaccia will be topped with gijnij & feta // pumpkin with chilli & thyme oil
Sweet buns are cinnamon // blackcurrant with toasted coconut frangipane
and this week's sweet treat is apricot & cinnamon brioche pudding 😋

Hi folks!

We've been mixing up some great bakes for you - come say hi to Paddy, Maria and Khadijah and stock up tomorrow from 10am-1pm.

As well as our baked goods we will have eggs, flour, pasta, frozen pizza dough, teas, tinctures, plus some lovely spinach from Edinburgh Agroecology Coop 🥚🍕🫖🥗🍞

There are three focaccia this week - topped with olive & rosemary // gijnij & feta // roast pumpkin with chilli & thyme oil

Paddy and Khadijah will be at the window tomorrow from 10am-1pm with all of 'our usuals' (check out our previous post for more information!) plus:

- broccoli, spinach and thai basil from Agroecology Coop 🥦
- teas and tinctures from Grass Roots Remedies Co-op 🌿
- flour from Malt & Milling, and Lapwings Community Mill 🌾
- pasta from Newton Dee 🍝
- eggs from Croft Organics 🥚
- frozen eggs whites and pizza dough🍕

Sweet buns are cinnamon // jostaberry jam & frangipane

'Our usuals'
Here is the line up of our core Saturday bread offering and more information about our unique payment model :

- Granton: our signature crusty loaf with wholemeal, rye and white flours. Available in large or small
- Wholemeal tin : made with 100% wholemeal flour
- Seeded rye: delicious, malty loaf with linseed, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Available in large or small
- White tin: a classic soft white tin loaf, great for sandwiches

All of these loaves are sourdough and made using flour from Scottish mills.
They are sold on a pay-what-you-can* basis direct from the bakery on Saturday mornings, because we believe that the best bread should be for everyone!

In addition, we sell some more 'luxury' options at a fixed-price, such as focaccia, baguettes and our sweet treats.

*If you would like to pay the 'going rate', this is £4.50 for large and £3 for small loaves

HARVEST FESTIVAL 2026: Sat 26th September 3-5.30pm at the community garden (10 Wardieburn Road). With Ama-zing Harmonies, Granton Garden Bakery, and others!

We're looking forward to celebrating, and you're all invited! Free event.

Contact us if you'd like to help out, or to contribute a song or other performance..

All apple dessert entries should be delivered by 3.30pm. We can provide local apples on the two Wednesday afternoons before, come to the garden to collect. First prize is a £20 gift voucher for Granton Garden Bakery.
