Let’s risk it all and start the UK’s first Dutch stroopwafel business?

Thanks to everyone who supported us during the Edinburgh Fringe. It was such a fun experience to be a part of the atmosphere at George Square.

We recently hit a milestone — our bakery turned two years old. In that time, we attended so many events and served many thousands of stroopwafels.

We took great risks, with some leading to big success.

I’m glad we’re still in the game and serving the world’s best waffle at events all over Edinburgh. We’ll be back before you know it.

We’re hiring for our Fringe Festival team! 👩‍🍳

Always been a fan of stroopwafels? We’re looking for dedicated staff to prepare, bake and serve delicious Dutch caramel waffles. 4-5 days a week, around 6-8 hours daily, must be available during August. Based at George Square Gardens, Edinburgh. Apply using the link in bio! 🧇

That’s a wrap on our second year at the Edinburgh Christmas Market! 🥹

It is bittersweet to close our doors after nearly 2 months of baking Stroopwafels at the UK’s best Christmas Market. It truly was the most magical time of the year 🌟

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came to visit us this festive season. It was your support that kept us going and made our work meaningful ❤️

The Market’s unique, busy environment pushed us to become the best version of ourselves; we are now truly experts of our craft and able to serve thousands of people in a short period of time ☺️

We would also like to thank our staff members, suppliers and the market team. Their work behind the scenes was invaluable and has been crucial to our success 🎄

Where to next? 📍

Wholly Waffles will go on hiatus for some time until an interesting / special / amazing opportunity comes along. Whether that’s opening a shop, trading at an event or something else — we don’t know yet. All we can say is: the bakery will return 👩‍🍳
