This was one of those hot, hot days from the end of May! Charlotte got in touch for some simple but delicious nearly naked cakes. I love this new trend of keeping the tiers unstacked. It allowed the couple to collect and display the cakes themselves on their favourite stands, and it also is great if one or more of the flavours is baked for dietary requirements. The couple chose a two-tier Raspberry & Prosecco cake, 10" Carrot & Pecan and 12" Lemon & Elderflower.

Natalie received a cake decorating voucher for her Christmas present. We spent a lovely afternoon learning to make cake toppers, pipe using three different techniques, covered a small cake and finished it off with beautiful rosettes. Just gorgeous!

It's so lovely to open your inbox to find beautiful wedding photos like these. As a cake maker, I see the "before" with myself, other suppliers and wedding planners prepping for the big day. Sometimes we get to see the groom pacing about too. So it is a delight to get a peek into how the wedding looked in full swing. Sue and Mark are such a gorgeous couple and it looked like a fantastic day was had at house. Thanks to James Merrick Photography for sharing the images with me.

When you love birdwatching and an Avocet is your favourite bird! This was a cake for my eldest son from his birthday last month - over the years we've had tractors, perch, iguanas, pond-dipping, pokemon, great horned owl, table tennis and the Trojan war. Always lots of nature as a theme!

Spent a lovely morning with Jane teaching her how to make a cupcake bouquet. She also brought her nozzles from home with her and we worked out what did what! A great way to make sure you get the most of the tools your have.
