What's on for August

13th Aug Crafty conversation, bring along your own craft project. We are also doing a craft swap shop, materials, equipment, kits and other items. It may inspire you

20th Aug – Branch meeting – We bring back our vegetarian chef, who will be showcasing a summer menu

22nd Aug – Our Southport and Southport flower show trip for members

27th Aug – Supper club is at La Turka Monton

7th Sept – Evening book club Hub from 7pm

We will be doing our first month of collection for Women's Homelessness, this will be toiletries and period products, This will be collected at our branch meeting on the 20th. Please ensure that these are new and in date. We will be sending these to Salford Survivors project and Salford Foundation Trust.

Saturday 12th Sept - Bulie HIll picnic in the park from 1400pm - further details to follow

Friday 25th Sept - Bingo social evening from 1900pm - further details to follow

Great book club evening, discussing Emily Brontë Wuthering Heights, along with our other reads. Next book on the list is The Weekend by Charlotte Wood, discussion will be at our September book club meeting on the 7th

What's on July 2026

6th July - Evening book club at The Hub from 7pm, we are talking about Wuthering Heights, and any other books you are reading, or just come for the chatter
9th July - Craft club - we are decoupage shells into trinket bowls
16th July - Our branch meeting will be a strawberry social, we will be providing scones, cream, jams and strawberries on the evening.
23rd July - Our supper club is at The Naz, Monton.

Our trip to Southport in August is now fully booked. We will be arranging a trip to Bulie Hill park with a picnic and a tour round its mansions in Sept

We have booked the coach for the Southport Trip on the 22nd August, for those who are going, more information will follow shortly.

Barton Theatre Company’s Spring Production
‘Mr Wonderful’ - and I’m in the cast !!

Next week, your local theatre company is playing at the beautiful community space in Eccles Town Hall

This tender, tragi-comic story is set in 1990’s Manchester and tells the story of two women, connected - and divided - by love, laughter and tears.

The bar is open from 45 mins before the play start times and also after each evening show, so you are welcome to stay and say hello.
