Hello! My lazy approach to social media continues apace, but here are my bake dates for June, along with footage of a new bun and some recent photos of a truly beautiful trip to Brittany 🇫🇷🌅

Inspired by our travels, I’ve added a Kouign Amann bun to the menu for the next couple of weeks. Based on a traditional Breton pastry, this bun is layered with plenty of butter, sugar and sel de Guérande; a hand harvested, unrefined sea salt from the Breton marshes. This creates a buttery, salted caramel filling which contrasts perfectly with the soft bun dough.

As always, orders close at 6pm on Wednesdays for delivery or collection on Friday of the same week. You can have a nosy at www.beckybakes.co.uk!

Introducing a fresh new website! Have a look at beckybakes.co.uk (link in bio 😊)

So happy to see this live and ready to take orders for this Friday 24th, as well as future Fridays too. It’s now quicker and easier to navigate and browse your favourite bakes as soon as you hit the homepage. The one big difference is that you’ll now select your delivery or pickup option, as well as the date you’d like your order when you come to checkout.

There are more new features on the way, including special bundle offers and Bread Club subscriptions, so keep an eye here or sign up to my newsletter to hear more.

I’ve also set up a discount code to celebrate the launch! Just enter THANKYOU10 at checkout to take advantage. Please note this will expire tonight (Wednesday 22nd) at 6pm at order cutoff.

Just a reminder that Good Friday will be the last chance for Hot Cross Buns and HXB loaves this season. These are made with a sourdough/yeasted enriched dough, using UK grown stoneground flour, orange purée and peel and generous amounts of fruit soaked in spiced tea.

Market day done!

I managed a couple of close ups of the savoury specials in the rush this morning…

This time I made spinach, feta, leek, potato and pine nut pasties, as well as sausage rolls made with herby minced pork, lots of fresh sage + homemade buttery rough puff pastry. Wondering about adding more savoury options to the weekly menu too….

I really enjoy being a part of this market. Community Wise is such an important meeting place for lots of people living locally and I love being reminded of that each time I’m there.

Now for a nap 🧡
