Almost 30 years ago excited to celebrate my beautiful baby’s first birthday I set myself the task of creating the perfect cake worthy of the occasion. Well it wasn’t quite perfect but the Noah’s Ark themed cake I produced sparked my love of cake decorating and I haven’t looked back since. Each year as my family has grown larger I have produced more and more cakes for family and friends, sometimes

working through the night just to fit in my beloved hobby with my full time job and family. Now its my job and I can't tell you all how much I love it. I've swapped a computer and a calculator for a food mixer and a rolling pin and I couldn't be happier.

Well guys its been a fun ride, I’ve met lots of lovely people made lots of cool cakes, but today I boxed my last customer order.

Juliettes Cakes is closing its doors for the last time to move on to other adventures.

I will of course never stop baking especially with a growing family and 4 grandkids . I still love to create, but for now at least it will be exclusively for family and friends.

This one was so lovely to make and I really love those colours.

The monarch butterflies are all hand made with very thinly rolled sugar paste, so they do look like they have just landed on the cake. I wanted the butterflies to be the stars of the show so I topped the cake with a pretty white sugar rose.

I hope you all like it, its a new favourite for me.

It’s been a really busy time here with lots of orders, grandkids, allotment and a new bathroom going in, which means I’ve really neglected all social media.
