🤭 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐃 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐘 🤭

**I am still currently on maternity leave**

Hello everyone! I just wanted to jump on and share this cake with you all. As most of you know, I am a cupcakes and small bakes business and to be honest, I've always been pretty terrified of bigger celebration cakes but while I am closed, I am trying to step out my comfort zone and learn new skills when time allows ☺️

This is only my third attempt at a celebration cake so far, but I'm really proud of my efforts. It's by no means perfect, but it's such an improvement from the first time I tried, which didn't even get past a crumb coat and ended up in the bin 🤣

I take my hat off to all the amazing cakers out there who make flawless cakes. This took me longer than I'd care to admit, but I got there in the end, and my sister was delighted with her cake 💜

I don't think there's anything that beats a classic chocolate chip NYC style cookie 🍪

I baked these a couple of weeks ago with my wee one, Evie. It reminded me how much I am missing being in the baking zone. I'm stuck between trying to lose a bit of weight and wanting to practice lots of different recipes, but I have the breaking point of a kitkat with zero willpower, so the struggle is realllll! 🤣

💜 𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄 💜

I hope you are all doing great and managed to enjoy some days throughout our very wet summer!

My little lady is just over 10 weeks old now. I can't quite believe how fast time is going but I just wanted to pop a wee post on to check in with you all as I'm very conscious of the fact its been quite a while since I've been trading and also to thank you all for the love you gave on her arrival post.

I don't have a date set for my return yet, but I will be sure to give you all plenty of notice. Can't wait to see all my regulars again for a wee catch up and to meet lots of new faces too!

But for now, here's a wee picture of my little Roma. Don't get much cuter than this wee smiley face 😍

💜 𝐁𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 💜

Hey everyone! Remember me!? It's been a while to say the least, I hope you are all keeping well. I just wanted to put a wee post on to announce the safe and healthy arrival of our beautiful daughter 𝙍𝙤𝙢𝙖 who was born two weeks ago on 21st June 2024 at 20.04pm weighing 7lbs 14oz 🤗

We have been spending all our time soaking up our baby bubble and getting to know the newest member of our wee gang with her big brother and big sister, which has just been lovely. Feeling so content and the luckiest wee mum to be blessed with three healthy, beautiful children 🥰

I can't wait to be back in action creating all your cupcakes and bakes when the time is right. It's going to feel like day 1 starting all over again, but I am so up for the challenge as I've missed you all loads. For now though, newborn snuggles and family time are calling my name, and im going to enjoy every last second as we all know how quickly those moments disappear 🥹

Hello, I hope you are all keeping well?!

Now that I am feeling a lot better, I am able to work on some things behind the scenes during my temporary closure, which have been on my to-do list for as long as I can remember 🤣

First off, I have set up a mailing list to extend my method of contact with all my customers. Social media is so unpredictable at times, and until now, I would have had no other way to contact you all if it crashed or I got hacked, which I have unfortunately seen happen to other small businesses recently so please sign up!! 🥹

❗️𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄❗️

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. Just wanted to pop on and post an update about where things are at the moment. I've thought about how to proceed going forward for what's left of my pregnancy and unfortunately it's just not financially viable for me to reopen for such a short time frame before I am off again on maternity leave.

I have recently completed an inventory count to access where I'm at, and the money I have lost in stock going out of date during my time off is sickening. All the basic ingredients you think of when it comes to cake/baked goods along with so many things you don't think of like food colourings, sprinkles etc all needing replaced along with stocking up on boxes etc, it all adds up when needing replaced all at once.

I've worked really hard to build my business up from nothing when I first opened in May 2022 so this definitely won't be forever but I need to be sensible so the same thing doesn't happen when I return from my maternity leave.

I am going to use this time wisely in order to improve my skills and the services I can offer when I return so I would love to hear any feedback on different things you would like to see when the time comes.

Thank you to every single person who has supported me and this venture so far, and I hope to see you again once I'm back on my feet after the arrival of my baby.

🎅𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐌𝐀𝐒🎅

Hello, it's been a while to say the least. How are you all?

Some of you will have noticed I have been abnormally nonexistent for the last few weeks on here. I haven't been keeping well at all, which resulted in me having to take some time away instantaneously a few weeks back. The reason being that I am actually baking a little bun of my own, which I haven't been ready to share until now. My body doesn't handle pregnancy well at the start, so it's been a real struggle, but I'm starting to come out the other side now, slowly but surely.

I couldn't let Christmas go by without wishing you all the best Christmas ever and to thank you all for your support and custom throughout the year. I'm sorry I haven't been available recently and wasn't able to offer you any Elf or Christmas bakes this year, its the best and busiest time of year so I'm really disappointed but I've had to focus on trying to feel a bit better.

I hope to be back some time in the new year all going well but for now I hope you all enjoy the festivities.
