For Dad's birthday this year, I had a crazy idea to suspend a Spitfire on top of his birthday cake as if it was flying through the clouds. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but it came pretty close to what I had in mind. It doubled as a birthday gift too!

Around VE Day 2025, I was honoured to receive an order for a 100th birthday cake for a father who had served in the RAF in WWII. With his son, we decided on simple but meaningful cake design which was printed with a Lancaster aircraft, the same kind that he had flown in during the war. It was well received and Graham said, 'Dad's birthday went really well, he loved the cake and whilst initially said he didn't want any had double helpings. Everyone loved the cake. Thank you.' I'm so pleased to hear that it went down well, Graham, thank you!

It's been a while since the last post but we've still been baking! Let's do a little catch up of the year, starting with this cutie of a cake for my niece's birthday earlier this year - you guessed it, her faves this year: and the colour !
