starts next week, part of ’s initiative to get people eating and making real bread, and highlighting growers, millers and bakers! 😀 I’ll be making sure to have plenty of free samples and tasters each week, along with some different sourdough uses/bakes!

Pictured is Raise The Bread’s Organic White House Sourdough, I’ve plenty baked today, and am going to cut one up for samples in a bit, so if you’ve never tried sourdough, here’s your chance 😁💚

I love my daughter to the moon and back 💚…but I’m so glad she’s back to school next week! 🤣 I am exhausted! 😴 we have crammed soooo much into the holidays, but my energy levels are now at zero and so is my bank balance 😆 Tom on the other hand escaped and trekked up Ben Nevis this weekend, fuelled by lots of last weeks flapjack! 😀

I am still down to just one prep day this week, but back to ‘normal’ next week 😁 So what’s on the menu this week? Whatever I can pull off! 😆 Croissants will be on Friday, almond croissants Saturday, and the toffee apple monkey bread probably Friday! Sausage rolls will only be on Saturday this week, unless I manage to get all my puff pastry made tomorrow 😬 Lucy’s delicious Carrot cake muffins will be on the counter too 😉 Few seasonal fruit surprises (depending how I get on!). Big thanks to my lovely customers who drop me in their surplus fruit! Can’t wait to share you some of the ideas I’ve come up with!
On another note ALL the bread is now organic (the bloomers weren’t previously), and I’m slowly moving over to organic plain and self raising flour for all my other bakes. I’ve also bought some different flours from Shipton Mill to have a play around with, as I will be updating the menu for Autumn/Winter. More details on all that soon 😉 This weeks special sourdough is the jalapeño and cheddar (Friday and Saturday). There is sourdough on tomorrow too (I’d previously said I wouldn’t do it on a Thursday, but have got myself a little routine now), but mainly the house white. Tinned loaves haven’t been big sellers recently with the weather, but if you want anything specific, let me know the day before and I can make wholemeal, Multiseed, chia, etc 😉 Right I’ll stop blathering on, and see you soon! 😀 Enjoy the song, it’s one of the wildlings faves 😆

Fresh corn focaccia with buffalo sauce, chilli lime and honey! 😀 Also there’s Tres Leche cake in the fridge, if you’re on a low fat diet…forget it! 🤣 It tastes amazing, but more than one slice and you’ll have heart palpitations 😬 Still got a bit of quiche left too 😉 here until 1.30pm! 😊

Back to normal hours now! 😉
Had lots of fun last weekend, and hope you enjoyed yourselves too 😉 Thankfully it’s cooling off a little tomorrow, so hoping to have more bread available than today, including some tinned loaves (and the white one pictured, makes great sandwiches and lasts well).

The dragon bread sourdough will be on this Saturday again, and I’ve also got Sundried tomato, feta and basil sourdough (tomorrow too). Quiche will be on the counter alongside all the regulars, and I’ve made a tres leche cake 😀 Oh and along with the raspberry Bakewell/frangipane will be a plum frangipane, made with local plums (thanks Joyce!) and homemade plum jam. I’ll be continuing croissant trials until I nail ‘em, and then I have LOTS of plans for that dough (sweet and savoury) 😆 Fingers crossed I’ll have sausage rolls tomorrow, but they will definitely be on Saturday 😉 Experimental focaccia topping incoming tomorrow too 😁 Looking forward to seeing you 😊

Forgot to put a post up! 😬 So for now here’s a quick one to say I’m here until 12! I have a few croissants 😀 my first attempt making them here, and I’m pretty impressed, they’re not quite there yet, but taste gooood! 😋
I have a few sourdough today, and special one is Sun-dried Tomato, feta and basil. Lots more choice tomorrow 😉 There’s some cheese and onion quiche left, and I’ll be making again tomorrow and Saturday! I’ll get a post up later so you know what’s on 😊

The finishing piece of my costume is arriving tomorrow 😁 The wildling nearly has all hers sorted, and even Tom has a costume lined up!!! 😮
C’mon, you know you want to get dressed up 😆

😀☀️ Home! Fully recharged and ready to bake! 😁 Missed you all and am looking forward to catching up. I’ll be open from 9am Thursday, but don’t forget, Saturday I won’t be in the shop as I’ll be up on the Green (Riley St/Aspen Ln, Earby) for Earby Dragons 🐉 😀 11am - 4pm, and I won’t have as much sourdough available on the Saturday, but will have some house whites and a special fiery ‘Dragon Bread’ 😍 aswell as lots of other treats. Oh and I’ll have some details tomorrow of a little competition I’m doing to fit with this years theme of ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ 😉 Hoping to have all your faves on this week in the shop, but might be a little bit of a simpler menu overall, as it’s the school holidays and things are a little tricker to juggle! 😁 See you soon! 😊

Apologies if I’m a little weirded out this morning, this is the second morning in a run I’ve had to ring the police, as I’ve had someone trying to get in around 3am! 😳 Yesterday was a woman, this morning was a man, knocking on and saying, “let me in” 😬 Did freak me out a bit, but my knight in shining armour (Tom 😁), came down until the sun came up.
So I have been a little distracted, but think I’ve got everything nearly baked off 😉 Come and cheer me up! 😊

Morning! 🌅 😀 Bread is looking mighty fine this morning! Come and grab some today or tomorrow, because after that I’ll be away for a family holiday for 2 weeks! ☀️ I’ll post up properly later 😊

Today’s specials are Crispy Chilli and cheddar with spring onions, also the ‘Italian’ with olives, herbs and Parmesan. Spanakopita puffs and quiche should be ready for around 11am and Focaccia has just gone in, feta and roasted pepper and Curried chickpeas with mango chutney 😋 Lucy has been beavering away making baklavas (there’s a chocolate and hazelnut one today too 😀). There’s also brownies (pistachio halva and tahini and a raspberry and white chocolate one) plus plenty of other treats! See you in a bit! 😁
