Just a quick post to let you all know I’ll be closing at the slightly earlier time of 12.30pm tomorrow. I’ll be heading to Barlick for Hugh’s memorial, a wonderful man who spent his time volunteering and helping in many communities, and also a big fan of flapjack and other sweet treats 😊💚

They’ll be plenty of sweet treats and more on the counter this week, including 3 different flapjacks, and some experiments with homemade passion fruit curd and blueberry and bilberry jam. This weeks special sourdough is the Jalapeño and cheese! See you all in the morning! 😉

Speedy post from me! 😁 what’ll be on the counter today! Raspberry frangipane, blueberry and bilberry frangipane, cinnamon buns and rhubarb and custard swirls (from around 11am). Raspberry and white chocolate brownies, and Eccles cakes around 11. The special sourdough is cheese and onion and focaccia is feta and roasted peppers, and the curried chickpea and mango chutney! Also around 11.30 will be an asparagus and bacon quiche 😉 See you in a bit! 😀💚

Thankyou for all your support at the Georgian Fayre yesterday, and a big shout out to Earby Events Group for organising a great day! On the back of the feedback from yesterday, I’m letting you know early this week what’s on, as there has been quite a few requests, so if you definitely want something in particular, get an order in, as there’s a limit to how much I can bake each week (hence, “small batch, made from scratch”😄) you can msg me via instagram/facebook/whatsapp, or pop me over an email: [email protected] or send me a text! Bread must be confirmed before Wednesday for Friday or Thursday for Saturday. Whole tea loaves must be ordered before Wednesday too (so I can soak the fruit 😉).
This weeks brownies are the pistachio ones (Dubai), flapjack will be a fruity one, egg custards are on Friday only, Yorkshire Curd Tarts on Saturday, and Eccles cakes Saturday too. I will also be doing the Georgian Orange tart again this week, for those who missed it at the market, and Raspberry Frangipane/bakewell will be on 😉 Alongside Cinnamon swirls will be Blueberry, lemon swirls! I’m hoping to have Sausage rolls available on Saturday and pies this week, but I will let you know Thursday how I get on 😊 Special sourdough…well, which do you fancy? It’s usually something with cheese, so I’ll give you a few options in a poll 😀 See you later this week! 💚

My social media ‘advisor’ Imogen 😁, has told me TikTok is where it’s at! 😆 I’ve no idea, as I’m not down with the kids, and am pretty useless on all social media platforms. It’s going to be a busy week/weekend! 😀 Sunday 17th 11am - 4pm travel back in time with Earby Events Group, to 1776 for Earby’s Georgian Fayre! Come along and immerse yourself with The Pattern 33rd Regiment of Foot. They’ll be lots of free family fun and entertainment, and plenty of food on offer! Raise the Bread will be having a stall with samples of Georgian inspired bakes (beer and barley bread, orange tart, queen cakes, etc), and plenty for you to buy too, with money and donations towards Earby Events Group!

In the shop Friday and Saturday this week, the sourdough special will be the Jalapeño and Cheddar! 🌶️ plenty of the regulars and a few new sweet treats. Oh and for those of you who missed it on Saturday, the ham, egg and cheese focaccia is on again 😀 Due to the three day week, egg custards will only be on Friday, and Eccles cakes Saturday. This weeks frangipane will be a cherry one, still haven’t made my mind up about brownies and flapjack 😄 Right I best get cracking, see you all later in the week, and fingers crossed for the weather! 😬🤞🏻
