I'm seeing squares when I close my eyes 😫

But at least the cake went down well!! My most demanding customer of the year so far. Changed his mind on the design 100 times, told me I was doing things wrong, literally watching me over my shoulder, wanted to help but got bored after 5 mins 🤦🏻‍♀️ I say never again but we know that's a lie 🤪

Long time no post 🙈 the Christmas break needs to end at some point!

I promise I have been working quietly in the background ☺️

The second cake of 2026 a few weeks ago...of course I forgot to take a pic of the very first one but it was a cracker!!

This little number was our signature chocolate sponge cake, covered in milk choc ganache with handmade fondant decorations 😍

🎉 Happy New Year from Madellah Bakes 🎉

Another year of baking, swearing at ovens, overthinking packaging, and wondering if anyone would actually buy another brownie… and you lot did. Repeatedly. 🥹

The last Yule logs of the year have officially gone out, the kitchen’s still a bit of a state, and we’ve finally stopped for a minute to say this properly — thank you.

Honestly, thank you for supporting us this year — whether you bought, shared, commented, dragged a mate to our stall, or just lurked quietly while judging (we see you 👀). It genuinely means the world to this small, slightly chaotic business.

2025 was about graft, growth, and figuring out more stuff as we went.

2026? Bigger plans. Better bakes. Less chaos* (*no promises).

Stick with us — big things are coming, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Now go pour a drink, eat something indulgent, and see you in the new year. 🥂✨

ABSOLUTELY BLOODY DONE. THAT’S A WRAP. 🎤⬇️

What an unhinged couple of months… 9 events over 7 weekends, with just little old me baking like a possessed woman, working full-time, and keeping two tiny gremlins alive. Casual.

I could not have survived it without:
✨ Me mam (aka Karon Vizor Beard) selling like Del Boy at the markets
✨ The world’s best husband Mark Ryall doing emergency butter & chocolate dashes, cleaning my daily kitchen carnage, packing cars at stupid o’clock, and yes… dipping the balls (BROWNIE balls, behave yourselves) 😉

It’s been chaotic. Slightly feral. Occasionally freezing, frequently raining. But honestly? Worth every single second.

Some of the comments we’ve had over the last few weeks have absolutely blown my tiny little mind — a couple today in particular… you know who you are 🥰 Feeling very loved right now.

Now it’s time for a well-earned Christmas break. Thank you a million times over for all the support, the chats, the laughs, and the love.

Have the best Christmas and New Year — we’ll see you back in the summer for more event madness 😘

Today is our final day selling cakes at the Christmas markets and once they’re gone… they’re gone 👋

If you want Madellah Bakes goodies on hand for Christmas (or for emergency “I deserve cake” moments), now is the time to stock up.

✨ Good to know:
🍰 Cakes stay fresh for up to 2 weeks
❄️ They can be frozen for up to 3 months (future-you will be very grateful)
