Hi everyone!
So I thought I would introduce myself and explain why I make wedding cakes alongside hair and makeup.

In my 37 years iv had a bit of journey and it’s taken me a while to get where I am today so il explain… I don’t want clients to think ‘how can she do hair/makeup and cake! Surely she can’t do it all..”
I get that completely cos it’s a bit crazy.

I started my cake business 16 years ago, it was a hobby that developed into a side hustle which then developed into me having cake shops! After 6 years of being a full time cake maker it took its toll and i closed my shops but still keeping a few orders a week going while I worked my way up to becoming a food technology teacher. Cos let’s face it most people have a side hustle and due to being booked years in advance I wouldn’t ever give up cake making.
I have made over 300 wedding cakes and thousands of celebration cake. I have explored every stunning wedding venue in the north east and beyond! This is where my love of wedding started…especially after I got married! I basically booked my wedding around my hair and makeup artist and made my own cake.

I became very unhappy in teaching due to various reasons and I decided to resign and re-train in something I absolutely adored.. hair and makeup! I said if I wanted a new career I had to LOVE IT. I couldn’t go through the stress of starting again and it had to work around my children. This decision wasn’t made lightly, the risk had to work! There no was choice.. it had to work. I grafted my arse off training, online tutorials and 1:1s

I retrained in hair extensions and ocassion hair and makeup then made the leap into bridal. I think due to working with hundreds of brides in the past and knowing how special a wedding day is I just went for it.

So yes I bloody adore weddings! I am forever grateful that I take part in 2/3 weddings a week whether it’s hair and makeup or cake or even both!

So that’s why I do what I do 🥰🥰

And I can’t thank each and every bride enough I adore you all!
