As I turn off the lights and close the door for the last time, it really does feel like the end of an era for Heart and Soul Cakes.
Fifteen amazing years and what a journey it’s been. It’s so hard to say goodbye.

I’m excited for what comes next, with lots of special family time and new adventures ahead, but I’ll always look back with so much love, pride, and gratitude.
Every cake, every celebration, every smile, they’ve all meant the world to me.

I truly did pour my heart and soul into everything I created, and I hope the memories you’ve made with my cakes will stay with you forever. 💜

💍✨ An Emotional Milestone ✨💍
Today has been such an emotional day, as I delivered my final wedding cake.

It felt so fitting (and incredibly special) that it was at where I’ve been a preferred supplier for almost a decade. That venue holds so many memories, and it was the perfect place to close this beautiful chapter.

There were a few tears, some hugs, and so much gratitude. 🥹🎂
Thank you to all the amazing couples, families, and venues who’ve been part of this journey. it’s been an honour to create sweet memories with you all. 🤍

✨ End of an Era – Thank You ✨

After 15 wonderful years, I’ve made the very difficult decision to close my cake business at the end of October.
This has not been an easy choice. Rising costs and some big changes in my personal life have made it clear that now is the right time to step away. My heart is heavy, but it also feels like the right moment to begin a new chapter. One that will give me more time with my family and space for new adventures.
I feel so incredibly grateful and lucky to have spent all these years doing something I truly love. Being able to create cakes for so many weddings, birthdays, and celebrations has been an absolute joy and honour. Every order, every kind word, every returning customer has meant the world to me. You have trusted me with your most important moments, and I can’t thank you enough for that.
It has been an honour to build something of my own and to see it grow, and I’ll always be proud of what I achieved.
This is not the end of my story. One door is closing, but another is ready to open, and I’m excited to see where this next chapter leads me. I know I’ll miss my loyal customers and the community we’ve built deeply, but I carry so much gratitude in my heart for all the support you’ve shown me.

This is a scheduled post as I am off doing something romantic! Today is mine and Mr Cakes 16th wedding anniversary, so we are shutting the world out and just being together. For all our couples past present and future. If you think the day you get married is the most love you can feel, then wow, you're in for a shock. Each year, I feel it stronger and stronger. A never-ending bond! Love you, Mr Cake.

Their wedding at the beautiful Ashridge House, was full of personality, creativity and love, and their cake captured it all.

We created a 3-tier buttercream wedding cake, displayed on our floating stand, and finished with a breathtaking cascade of paper roses that were handmade by the bride using pages from her favourite books 📖🌹(she made her own dress too!)
