Just a reminder that we’re closed today (Thursday 11th) and for the next few Thursdays.

We’ll be back tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday as usual. Friday’s bread will be a bit different, with lots more Italian sourdoughs as so many of you are missing out each week, Kalamata olive, fig loaves, heritage grain and white bloomers. Definitely more choice for those who want a change from traditional sourdough.
See you on Friday from 11am and sorry to those who usually make a Thursday trip - if you are already heading our way already, Dunlop Conservatory Cafe in the village hall will be open for lunch.

This week’s menu for pinsa delivery or collection is here! Especially liking our new box design 😀 thanks to Piero.
Choose to “finish at home” where everything’s ready for you to pop in the oven for the last 4 minutes. Best if you want it piping hot, the crust crispier and the cheese meltier.
Or we’ll finish it in our oven - best if you’re collecting and live locally.
Send a WhatsApp message to 07479 251842 with your order and delivery address / or let us know when you’re collecting (from 6-8pm) then we’ll send the payment link.

A small change for the summer

For the next few weeks, we’ll be closing on Thursdays.

We’re going to use that extra day to recharge, work on new ideas, catch up with a few things and make sure Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are as good as they can be.

We’ll still be open as usual from Friday to Sunday, with a more interesting and varied selection, as well as keeping the Wednesday evening collection/deliveries going for the Pinsa (this week’s menu out tomorrow!)

Wednesday pinsa night is on again this week!
After a successful trial last week we’ll do it all over again. The tastiest way to see you through that midweek “what to make for dinner” problem.

You can collect or we’ll deliver within 5 miles of our shop. It’s looking like Stewarton around 6-6.30pm, Dunlop 6.45-7pm and Uplawmoor 7.30pm.

Seven years ago we thought it was a mad idea. A few others thought so too, and some people even got angry. But we went ahead and opened Idle Hands and we’re still glad we did.
And because we managed it, others gave it a go; the wonderful Sorores.Aromatherapy opened, making a trip to Dunlop even more worthwhile. And a few months ago Parlor B opened as the much needed hair salon in the village; Barry is a stylist people travel for.
Dunlop has become the kind of place people come because they want something less ordinary. Here’s to us all lasting a long time as part of the village.
Pop in to see us from the 4th - 7th and celebrate the ‘seven year itch’ with us.

Thanks to everyone for being so quick to order, we have sold out for this first week. All going well, we’ll do it again next week 🤞

Helping you over that midweek dinner hump, we’re bringing a touch of Rome to your home with our Wednesday evening delivery of Pinsa Romana this week.
Choose your Pinsa from our menu, message us before Wednesday at 1pm with your name, address and order. We’ll send you a payment link and once paid, a delivery ETA. The deliveries start at 6pm on Wednesday evening, and if you’re in a 5 mile radius of us, you’re in luck! Around Dunlop, Lugton, Stewarton, Uplawmoor is covered.
Numbers are limited while we give this a go, so early orders are recommended. If we can cope and if you enjoy it, we’ll do it again 🚗
Each individual-size pinsa is a light, chewy, focaccia style pizza with a smoky/slightly spicy tomato base and a variety of toppings. They can be warmed in the oven for 2-3 mins if you prefer yours piping hot.

Today’s Idle Hands Run Club was another great start to a Sunday. Made even better by the coffee and cake deal upon finishing, and freebies from The Yorkshire Flapjack Company and the wonderful Fix8 Kombucha.
Next time, we’re over the moon that Tenzing are supplying the natural energy drinks for all the 5k runners. If you want to join in, message us on 07479 251842 and we’ll let you know the date. It’s friendly and full of laughs (at least at the finish 😅)

The next Idle Hands Run Club is this Sunday 24th May and the great news is, the runners will all leave with something from The Yorkshire Flapjack Company and a kefir or kombucha drink from Fix8. It’s the reward for getting out of bed on a Sunday morning and starting the day with a 5k.
We’ll also provide the coffee and cake/pastry deal at £5.
Meet with us on Sunday, ready to get going at 9.30am, Janette outlines the route and we see you back just after 10am when we open early for the participants.
Hope to see you on Sunday with your trainers on!
