Amelia and Tommy - two lovely humans who made another lovely wee human! 

It's very rare to have a wedding rehearsal but the Crichton Church is a good place to have one. That AISLE! I had one of those moments on Friday at Amelia and Tommy's rehearsal where everything was just perfect. The sun was behind Amelia as she walked down the aisle escorted by her uncle and grandad (No talk of "giving away" please: we don't "give" people away! ) and she just looked so beautiful and walked so elegantly I could have howled 😭 

And the next day when she did it for reals was even lovelier. I had predicted in my head what her dress would look like and I was right. Absolutely stunsville. Thank you for sticking with me as your Celebrant despite my vocal issues xx

"Let's get married beside the river with Criffel in the background!"

Sure. Why not?

But you see, dear reader, there was no Criffel in the background because it was obscured by cloud and sideways rain. Did it matter? No of course not!

Well okay yes it did a bit but we still had a wedding! Hannah and Greg and their very nearest and dearest including the dugs got absolutely battered with wind and rain but we signed the schedule in the car and all was well because the show must go on. And I had my Big Coat. Greg had a gorgeous green suit which showed every drop of sky moisture. Hannah was still radiant and lovely despite everything. And Cammy Cameron Pagan - Scottish Wedding Photographer. took them off to Castledykes Park for some piccies after. I loved every chaotic minute of it!

Congratulations to Hannah and Greg! Thank you for having me ❤️

Bailey and Sara! Met at dog agility and so began Bailey's long campaign to get Sara to realise he really fancied her 😂 She thought they were just friends for the longest time! Look at them now, married and everything 😭
Fun fact - I married Sara's brother Dave too to lovely Rachael a few years ago. Being a celebrant is cool like that ❤️ Congratulations to the Donaldsons! Xx

Jess & Ed - a pair of absolute dreamboats - had their wedding at Ed's family farm at Southwick and it was a totally rustic VIBE. They set their vows in stone by placing their hands on the ancient glacial erratic in the middle of the field. That stone has been there for millennia which blows my mind. So how lovely to include it in their marriage ceremony. It felt really special and made me feel a bit funny like when you think about the universe a bit too hard and you get a bit scared.
Congratulations to Jess and Ed! You're amazing ❤️

Hi, it’s me! Having a cup of tea at the caravan, which is obviously the best cup of tea. (Well I was there but I'm not now)

A little update:

Voice = 37% capacity
Frustration with voice = 120%
Frustration with people talking over me because I have no volume = 19,999,999%

I’m like Ariel from The Little Mermaid at this point. Ursula nicked her voice in exchange for giving her legs, and I understand why Ariel was so desperate to get it back. But I also understand Ursula's coveting of Ariel's voice.

Although, on reflection, who actually wants to be a human? It's overrated!

I’d rather be a mermaid 🧜‍♀️

Just one with a fully functioning voice that nobody talks over.
