Yes, I always make a few extras for me and the boys.

Yes, we somehow devoured SIX of them before you could blink. 😭

And yes, they were absolutely bloody delicious 😂🤌

One thing about running a cake business is that quality control is VERY thorough in this house. We take our responsibilities seriously 🫡🍰

So if you’ve got a birthday, party, event or just fancy an unreasonable amount of cake, custom orders are absolutely a thing at Batch, Please 🩷

EUGH… YOU’RE ALL GONNA HATE ME 😭🍰

The cake shed won’t be open with bakes this weekend 🥲 I’ve taken on some custom orders and they need to come first!

BUTTTT… the kids are FINALLY all fully back at school next week 🙌 and we’re about to ramp things up a notch 👀

I’ve been working on streamlining production behind the scenes so I can make more, work smarter and hopefully bring you CAKE MORE DAYS OF THE WEEK 🍰🩷

Consider this weekend the calm before the cake storm 😂

The shed won’t be completely empty though!

I brought my son to Russell’s Hall Hospital for a neurology appointment. I paid for my parking, returned to my car on time and tried to leave the car park.

Unfortunately, I got stuck behind another driver who was waiting for a parking space because the car park was so busy. Apparently, the extra time it took me to physically get out of the car park was enough for me to receive a parking charge.

I appealed it, took it all the way to POPLA, and I’m now left with a £150 charge because the hospital car park doesn’t have enough spaces to accommodate the number of people using it.

I wasn’t parked beyond the time I’d paid for. I was in my car, trying to leave, and physically couldn’t because of congestion caused by a lack of spaces.

Absolutely livid. £150 for getting stuck trying to EXIT a hospital car park after taking my child to a medical appointment. 🤦‍♀️

MORNING GUYS ☔️🍰

The rain is absolutely WILDDDDDD this morning 🤣 so I’m going to wait for it to ease off a little before I fill the shed.

I’m hoping nobody was planning on forming a queue in the flash floods at 10am anyway 😭😂

Everything is ready to go, I’ll post as soon as the shed is stocked!

ALSO… apparently I have absolutely no self control because despite saying no cheesecakes today, I’ve managed to make a VERY limited amount of Galaxy Cookie Crumble Dipped Cheesecakes 👀

Because I just can’t help myself 🤦‍♀️😂

A LITTLE SATURDAY UPDATE 🩷

There will be no dipped cheesecakes or candied fruit tomorrow.

I’m absolutely exhausted. The summer holidays have well and truly taken their toll and I’ve reached the point where I physically can’t push myself any further tonight.

The rest of the menu WILL still be available tomorrow, but I’m going to give myself a chance to rest and recoup and hopefully get the cheesecakes and candied fruit out for Sunday.

Once the kids are back at school I’ll have the time to focus completely on the shed again, but right now making sure my kids are safe, cared for and actually getting some time with their mum is always going to be top of my list. 🩷

Sometimes I have to remember I’m a mum before I’m a baker 😂
