The cake shed is open and itā€™s lovely to be back šŸ˜Š

Itā€™s a really windy day today but those brave enough to venture down will find the following bakes in the shed:

šŸ’° Milllionaires shortbread
šŸŖ¹ Rice crispie nests
šŸ« Chocolate Brownies
ā˜•ļø Yorkshire Tea Bread

Bottles of water also available.

Cash and card accepted. Any issues with the card reader just press the bell and Iā€™ll do my best to help - either in person or via the power of technology!

Tonight in addition to the above Iā€™ll be prepping lemon drizzle cake and some chocolate and vanilla cupcakes for tomorrow. I hope to see you soon!

A Diamond wedding anniversary!! I was delighted to be asked to make the cake for a local familyā€™s celebration of such a special event.
Itā€™s my biggest cake to date (16 x 12 inches / 40 x 30cm) and the fondant floral design gave me a good opportunity to lean into my creative side!
Congratulations to Mick and Chris on 60 years of marriage and best wishes for many more happy years ahead ā¤ļø.

This was such a lovely day and a really good opportunity to showcase my work (and to win in the showstopper category! šŸ†)...

Truly blessed to have Oakwell Hall Country Park on our doorstep.

Iā€™m looking forward to getting the oven on again once schools are back and hopefully itā€™s not quite as hot!! ā˜€ļø šŸ«

Delighted that my Whitby Abbey cake won first prize šŸ† in the Showstopper category and also the Peopleā€™s Vote prize šŸ† at the Oakwell Hall Country Park Yorkshire Day Bake Off and celebrations today!!!

And what a lovely event it was, good family fun had by all, many thanks to the organisers for a great day.

Iā€™m looking forward to next year already šŸ˜Š.

Iā€™m sad to update that my current personal circumstances mean I need to put my little cake shed on pause for a while.

These past couple of weeks have been truly wonderful - thank you for all the support and positivity youā€™ve shown me. I will see you again soon I promise - please watch this space for updates.

So the shed isnā€™t technically open but there are some sample bakes left over from an event I did last evening for the wonderful Drighlington Dynamos Running Club (DDRC) in there for people to help themselves to on a pay as you feel basis. In the shed we have samples of:

šŸ’° Millionaire shortbreads (not lots!)
šŸ« Chocolate brownies
šŸ«– Yorkshire tea bread
šŸŖ¹ Rice crispy nests.

Iā€™ll leave the shed open til 8pm so anyone who fancies an evening stroll can enjoy them later on (if theyā€™re still there!)
