Knicat Bakery Ltd A traditional Family run bakery, Using local produce and traditional methods, we create modern and traditional breads, confectionery, and much more.

We are a traditional family bakery, situated on railway road, Downham market right next to the train station. We don't just create bread and confectionery, we have a small dinning area, where you can sit, relax and enjoy an all day breakfast, Tea and cake, sandwich or just a quick snack. We can also caterer for all occasions, create the prefect celebration cake or deliver sandwiches for lunch. In

the summer our courtyard is the perfect place to meet friends and relax before heading off on the train or making your way into Downham market. For those who cannot make the trip down to the shop, we would be more than happy to deliver to your door.

Hello December and the countdown begins ! Last month’s celebrations, fruit cake is very popular and one cake was for the recipient to finish , have included some Christmas cakes which are already sold, also we have our usual Christmas gingerbread reindeer and trees , Xmas fruit slabs , of course our all year round battenburgs and MINCE PIES 🥧 and something a little different mince pie and almond , absolutely delicious especially with a blob of fresh cream too , that’s a must try ! Well folks we will keep you posted with our opening and closing times over the festive period , one last thought, how lovely the town looks driving through every evening, well done all 👍

Hi folks sorry late posting but so engrossed in feeding the fruit cakes with brandy that I realised we hadn’t posted Octobers celebrations . Fruit cakes have been quite popular this month along side the normal Victoria and chocolate sponges. Going forward we cannot escape the word Christmas anymore so we will be busy preparing a selection of Christmas goodies! Mmmm mince pies brandy mince pies mmmm note to self brandy for produce consumption not mine 🙈🤣🤣🙈
