After receiving devastating news from my family back home in Venezuela this weekend, I am posting this page to ask for help, in truly desperate times.
On Saturday morning, I was told after a few weeks with severe headaches and pain, my Grandmother was taken into hospital for investigations, and she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm - a bulge in a blood vessel caused by weakening of the blood vessel walls.
For those who aren't familiar with this condition, it's life threatening, and to be blunt, if the vessel breaks, it would almost certainly result in death.
After many difficult discussions with my family in Venezuela, this really is our last resort, as our insurance provider will not cover the surgery, and due to income being so low, our family savings just don't cover the quotes.
So, we honestly have no other option but to beg for help in order to pay for the surgery, approximately $57,000, and help save her life.
The aneurysm is a ticking bomb that could break any second, we are praying and doing everything we can to be able to raise the funds, and give her the surgery she so desperately needs.
I know I may be a stranger, and this is a lot to ask in current times, but we are begging for help, and if you are able to contribute any donations, me and my family will be forever grateful.
