A fitting tribute to a lovely man, who passed away aged 96.
He was an author and artist, with a great love of Spitfires and the history surrounding them. It was a real privilege to create this cake for his funeral, bringing together some of the things that meant so much to him — his writing, his art and, of course, the Spitfires.

A very personal cake for a remarkable man and a life well lived.

Cake vanilla and strawberry, spitfires chocolate, clouds icing. The books icing with edible printed icing. Rice paper sketches and a wooden artists palette and brush with icing.
