Lottie's Little Cake Company has officially opened from January 2014. I have been decorating cakes since becoming a mum over 3 years ago. It all started for fun with my only ambition being to create stunning birthday cakes for my children. From there I have taken just a few orders from friends and family ... and from there I seem to have found a wider customer base with my name being recommended t

o friends of friends and so on. I am truly passionate about my cakes and I hope over time everyone can appreciate what I do - whether it be enjoying looking at my cakes ... or eating them.

Hi guys 👋

It’s been a long time since I shared with you all but I am still here! ☺️
Unfortunately I do need to take this opportunity to reiterate that I’m not currently taking orders. This is partly my reason for posting - as I’ve had lots of messages recently! (Which I really do appreciate!!).
Regrettably my capacity is full with some of my lovely regular customers (if and when that changes I will let you know!)

However, I wanted to share this one with you all -

I was so heartbroken for this couple when they had to cancel their wedding in March 2020, they cancelled days before their scheduled date all because the country went into lockdown.
So many people had to re-schedule weddings but this one was a matter of days, everything was ready and prepped to go - I can’t begin to imagine how that felt.

What a relief they finally got their big day.. and the sun was shining bright in Bideford! 🥰

Happy New Year to you all 🎉🎉

Every new year my first post on this page is for the first special birthday of the year in our family .. and I couldn't let this year be any different!

Our lovely boy Dex turned 7 yesterday and he requested his cake be a field with models of our 5 Dexter cows in it. Unfortunately I had zero time this year and had to get something baked and decorated within one evening. Luckily this sculpted cake (not perfect proportionally) didn't take me anywhere near as long but he was super duper happy with it 😝☺️. The head is based on that of our little cow 'Pom Pom' who is a very cheeky red Dexter.

I love seeing my kids faces with their birthday cakes, it's my favourite thing knowing that each year they are more excited about their cake than any present we give them. Phew!

So I HAD to share this one.

Firstly though, a very important cake made for my daughter Esme who turned 9 yesterday! Her wish was for a super sticky, sticky toffee cake with rose gold cake balloons, I couldn't help but to add the rose gold fault line for a little play!

Cakes like this I simply adore. Those of you who know me know of my farming background and my other job which is milking my parents cows; so creating cakes like this is a real passion.

Important Announcement ;

You will have noticed I have gone quiet over the last few months. I am still here and as some of you know I am still very much baking!

Unfortunately in a week I only manage 2/3 hours admin (which really isn't enough) and in that time it's very often that I only manage to deal with three or four people requiring quotes/sketches etc. Each day my inbox gains itself approx 10 messages add to that the emails, text messages, whatsapp etc. and you will probably therefore gain an idea as to why many of you are not getting a response from me.

I have taken the decision to CLOSE my order book for the next few months to any new orders/customers.
To any of my regular customers / weddings or anyone I have spoken to so far in relation to cakes in the coming months, please do not think I don't want your custom or that you are fogotten - I am trying to get through all messages but if I have missed you please feel free to contact via text message (preferably) or call.
I will openly admit I have been struggling with all the enquiries and general admin that comes alongside the baking and decorating. I will always endeavour to do my very best and please know that I value each one of you and thank you all for the on going support.

Thank you.. and for all of you I have been in contact with, I will ensure I get back to you asap!
