I love whipping up a sugary masterpiece, creating beautiful sugar flowers and perfecting each and every cake that leaves my farmhouse kitchen in the heart of the Dorset countryside. I trained as a chef, always finding myself deviating towards the pastry section of the kitchen, this led me to set up, what is now Lisa Notley Cake Design in 1999. My cakes are made to be eaten, and I believe deeply in
the importance of using time tested recipes in which the quality of ingredients is never compromised. In 2014 I celebrated 15 years of designing cakes, to mark this milestone I created three unique flavour combinations using locally sourced ingredients and my “Inspired by Dorset” range of flavours was added to my cake menu. A favourite thing about my job is meeting the couples, hearing about their plans and working closely with them to design a cake which is unique and perfect for them & I love being a creative part of the most important day of their lives. Working from my farmhouse kitchen, I offer a relaxed & unhurried personal service, from the initial consultation to the delivery and set up of your cake.
