Finally sharing one of my favourite cakes I’ve ever had the privilege of making. 💕✨
Back at the end of May, I had the absolute honour of creating my brother’s wedding cake. I’ve been waiting patiently for the professional photos because they really captured it perfectly, and it was definitely worth the wait.
The main cake was a lemon sponge filled with homemade lemon curd and vanilla buttercream, while the mini cake was a rich, moist vegan chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, so everyone could enjoy a slice.
Everything was designed to complement the bride’s beautiful colour scheme, and my favourite little detail had to be the two handmade fondant models of their beloved Oriental cats, Nero and Kyra… who sadly couldn’t attend the wedding themselves due to hygiene reasons! 😂🐱
To finish everything off, I also made 38 matching wedding favour sugar cookies, decorated with royal icing featuring their initials and wedding date.
It was such a special project to be trusted with, and knowing I got to play a small part in such an important day for my brother and new sister-in-law means more than I can put into words. 💗
