Gluten Free Food Store was founded in 2016, as a result of our family’s struggle to find good quality, gluten free products. Her illness left her suffering with debilitating bloating and cramps, along with migr
aines, whenever she ate – problems that the gluten free diet seemed to alleviate. However, finding this food became a battle in itself. Our local supermarkets left us feeling deflated with small, inconsistent ranges of poor quality products. We were spending way too much of our time in supermarkets, just looking for everyday gluten free food! Eating the same products over and over again was depressing, especially for someone that enjoyed food so much before. We knew that better options were out there, because Chloe was seeing frequent gluten free posts on social media. Coeliacs in the main cities were being spoilt for choice, so why shouldn’t everyone else? The opportunity arose for us to create a business, bringing together frustrated consumers who couldn’t find the food with artisan producers who couldn’t find an outlet. We desperately wanted to prove that the gluten free diet needn’t feel restrictive. We’ve searched the country (and overseas!) to bring you the very best in gluten free food, from independent producers like Baked to Taste and Mr Lees, as well as some of your favourite brands like Schar and Dove’s Farm. We are constantly on the lookout for new products, and independent gluten free producers – and we are more than happy to try and find the things that you can’t find anywhere else, or haven’t eaten for years! Our online store gives you the opportunity to browse our ranges from the comfort of your own home, and have it delivered direct to your door. Tucked away in Cobbs Yard, Diss, our little corner of the countryside is full of history and heritage. Located in what once was the old Half Moon Yard belonging to the local pub, you’ll find an outstanding collection of independent businesses offering everything from high end ladies clothes to wool and crafts. In store you’ll find an even wider range of goodies, with chilled and frozen goods, alongside fresh bread delivered several times a week. We love meeting new customers, and seeing the joy on their faces once they realise that they can finally enjoy fresh bread, pie or chocolate eclair! As a family, we strive to source from the best producers using the highest quality ingredients, giving you the confidence that absolutely everything you buy from us is not only safe to eat, but truly enjoyable.
