There should be - near as dammit - the full set of traders at Granby Street Market on Saturday 💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿. We're so happy to be back - so enjoy seeing everyone again, support the traders and volunteers and all the lovely music and food

We're looking forward to seeing you tomorrow on Granby Street! There will probably be rain (but we don't cancel just because of rain!), but there may be some high winds from about 3-5pm. We may have to close the market down earlier than usual, but we'll update you at about 6pm ♥️

It's market day on Saturday! There will be a few more stalls than last time - lots of lovely things to buy and amazing bric-a-brac. And, of course, delicious food. See you there! ♥️

We're back tomorrow 🥳 The 1st 2 markets will be small, but perfectly formed, with 30+ traders selling their wares at the top end of Granby St. Lots of food stalls, alongside arts, crafts and bric-a-brac. See you there 🥰♥️🥰

Granby Street Market update! 🎉

We have missed you ♥️ We will be back on March 7th 🥳 but coming back gradually, so that we can train up our new volunteers 😊

What does this mean?

This means that we will have a small market in March - with about 30 stallholders. We have already contacted some of our traders about this - those who live in our community and who have been trading with us in the last year.

The stalls will be on the Princes Avenue end, between Ducie St and Jermyn St.

On April 4th, we will increase this to between 40-50 recent traders, from a slightly wider group in and around L8.

On May 2nd, we'll be back with a bang 🎉

*Granby Street Market Update – We Need New Leaders!*🌟

Come to our meeting on *Saturday, 7 February, from 1.30pm at the Winter Garden*, 37-39 Cairns Street.

To all those who want to see our beloved Granby Street Market return, we're calling on you to get involved. We're looking for new volunteers and especially new leaders (people willing to take on a bit more responsibility) to move things forward.

There's been lots of activity from our hardworking volunteers group since we paused the market in September, but it's clear *we're still a bit stuck – and there's a lot to do if we want the market to re-open.*

We're holding a volunteers' meeting on Saturday, 7 February at the Winter Garden on Cairns Street. If you have ideas, skills, time and commitment to help make the market happen again – particularly if you're able to help with the many admin and organising tasks, and help coordinate people – please come along. Whether you're a resident, trader, visitor or anyone else, we really need your help.

Our neighbour Nu has kindly offered to facilitate the meeting to get things going. This is a chance for new people and new ideas to come in, building on hard work and knowledge of those who have kept it going for so long.

Bring your energy and help bring the market back! 🙌

*Granby Street Market to "take a break" until the new year*

Granby Street Market is part of the Granby 4 Streets Community Land Trust. We have three main activities:

- renovating/rebuilding 14/15 properties and corner shops on Cairns St.
- running the Winter Garden, which is for community use, and
- running the market since 2010, which has now grown to 70-80 traders most months.

The market volunteers have been discussing the challenges we have had in running the market for 15 years. We have decided that we need a break so that we can improve our systems and come back better!

We will stop for the rest of the year and return in March 2026. We need this time to focus and improve our policies and procedures and recruit more volunteers.

We haven't made this decision lightly, and we are sorry if this inconveniences traders and shoppers. In order for the market to continue to thrive, we need to take a break. This time-out will make the market even better in the longer term - we will keep you up to date as things progress!
