In the last 3 weeks I have had 3 separate clients just not show up for their appointments. Despite me calling and texting them plus everyone gets a 24hr reminder email. All 3 opened their email and read the reminder. Not 1 of them got in touch to let me know.
2 of these were newborn clients and anyone who has been in for a newborn shoot understands how much the studio has to be at 26 degree for the babies.
It takes oil and electricity to heat the studio and because I am a business my electric is charged at a much higher rate than a normal household and we all know how ridiculously expensive it is at the minute for electricity in our homes.
Plus I have had to turn people away looking for newborn shoots as I didnt have the space and with those no shows its cost me money I was depending on.
I left my home at 7.30pm last night for an appointment at 8pm which again didnt show up. After me agreeing to do a later time for them.
I take a small session fee but after last night I have decided to up this to ensure my time if covered if I have another no show.
I have the most incredible, thoughtful, loyal clients who I appreciate every day but for these new clients to just not show and completely ghost me has left me bewildered
I am a mum and I also have a home to take care of and if you arnt going to show up for your appointment then please just dont waste my time in the first place booking in!
