| Yesterday, the team carried out a further operation as part of Operation Tollense, which aims to reduce the use of e-scooters and off-road bikes on our street, identify those responsible for such offences, and support investigations into the theft of motorbikes.

Following a foot chase and two e-scooters failing to stop for officers, a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue, including efforts to identify the two riders who failed to stop.

The team has also developed intelligence relating to individuals believed to be responsible for riding dangerously on stolen motorbikes. Work is now underway to progress this investigation and identify those involved.

Our work under Operation Tollense will continue, with officers taking positive action to tackle dangerous and illegal use of e-scooters and stolen motorbikes and to identify those responsible.

If you have information about the illegal use of off-road bikes, stolen motorbikes, or e-scooters, please continue to report it to use. Your information helps us target those causing harm in our communities.

This afternoon, PCSOs Nugent and Charles have supported at McDonalds Family Fun to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

The PCSOs spoke with lots of families and gave out even more stickers!
The police car is always the fan favourite, and we were able to bring along some of the old uniform for the children to try on. 👮🏼

Thank you to the team at McDonalds for having us 😁

This afternoon, A/Sgt Dolby's eagled eye caught us two E-scooters from the Estate. 🛴

The first scooter, found at an address off of Prince Charles Avenue was seized as suspected stolen, after the young males claimed not to know who it belonged to. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The second scooter was seen further up Prince Charles Avenue before the rider tried to scoot away... fortunately for us, they headed straight for their home address where A/Sgt Dolby and PCSOs where hot on their tail and has it seized minutes later. 👮🏼

This afternoon, PCSO Nugent attended the Summer fair at Maple View School with PCSO Charles and PC Biggs.

It was such a joy to engage with the children and be able to show them the police van, lights and police equipment, before offering out lots of stickers!
Unfortunately, the team were quickly upstaged when the Alpaca's arrived.... The team were quick to agree that Dave (the alpaca) and his friends were much more exciting than the police car, and had the chance to say hello and ask all about them.

Petition to have Police Alpaca's join the team??🦙 👮🏼

Thank you again, to Maple View for having us come along!

| Yesterday officers from Allestree Safer Neighbourhood Team carried about the first operations as part of Operation Tollense, an initiative aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour involving stolen and off-road motorcycles, as well as e-scooters.

We were supported by our Force Drone Team, whose expertise helped us locate riders, identify bikes and uncover locations where offenders are hiding suspected stolen motorbikes.

As a result of the operation, 4 bikes/E-scooters were seized.

This is just the beginning. Further operations will be taking place over the coming months as we continue to target those responsible for anti-social behaviour and work to reduce the number of reports involving nuisance motorbikes across our communities.

If you have information about the illegal use of off-road bikes, stolen motorcycles, or e-scooters, please continue to report it to us. Your information helps us target those causing harm in our neighbourhoods.
