My mum is a fabulous cook and baker (I can never make scones like she can) she taught me some key tricks to making pastry. Things she learned after many years of baking. I have carried these into the pastry we make for our pies today. She always said you could tell when your pasrty would melt in the mouth when you've got the little white flecks running through it!
Follow pie makers will know this, there is something very satisfying as seeing trays of pies made and ready for the baking 😋
