New year- new chapter!

2026 brings change for Darvel Dexter Beef. With Mary retiring 🥂from the butchery world there will be a transition over the coming weeks as son Scott takes over the business bringing “ Meat To You “

Customers will see no change - we will still be providing top quality home bred Dexter beef, our own lamb, local pork and offering excellent butchery services for farm/smallholders, farm shops and restaurants/cafes. 🥩🔪

The shop is still located at South Quarter, Darvel, KA17 0ND and open on the following days:
-Wednesday 9-5pm
-Thursday 9-6.30pm
-Friday 9-5pm
-Saturday 9-5pm

I would like to thank all of our wonderful customers who supported Darvel Dexter Beef over the past few years - you made an auld woman who's "hobby went wrong" very happy with the huge amount of positivity all the hard work received. I have welcomed so many of you to the 'Dexter Beef appreciation society'🎉
2026 will bring a change of leadership. I'm handing the reins over to my son Scott Cochrane (Wyllieland Farm). You'll notice no difference as a customer. Everything will carry on as normal except it'll be Scott you contact re orders, butchering etc. Tel: 07901 002173 (via WhatsApp if possible). The name will also change to Meat To You
This name more accurately reflects the fact that we now supply more than just Dexter Beef.
