I bumped into an old customer today while I was tending to my horses, and we got chatting. He told me how much he misses my sourdough and that, although he’s found some good alternatives, mine is still his favourite.

I can’t quite put into words how much that meant to hear.

Right now, I’m not in a position to start baking again. I’m taking the time I need to heal my mind and body, and that’s where my focus has to be. There are parts of running a bakery that I miss, and parts that I don’t, but one thing I miss wholeheartedly is my customers.

The support, encouragement, conversations, and friendships that grew through The Sourdough Starter meant more to me than you’ll ever know. Seeing familiar faces each week became such a special part of my life.

To everyone who supported my little bakery, thank you. I miss you all more than you realise, and hearing today that my bread is still remembered has truly touched my heart.

Strawberry & White Chocolate Scones

These are seconds due to them being slightly underdone. They were made fresh for a market however after discovering that the oven must have had a cold spot, they were removed from sale. They are perfectly edible but may be a slight bit doughy in the centre. Without cutting them all open I can’t tell you how they will be.

I’m offering them at a discount of 2 for £3 or 4 for £5. They need collecting today.

The first batch of pizza bases are now chilling in the fridge waiting for collection this afternoon.

I’ve sent out notifications that they are ready but please don’t come before 5pm as stated.

It’s officially going to be BBQ and Pizza Oven weather this BH weekend. The website should be live tonight to order your locally produced sourdough pizza bases. They keep fresh in the fridge for 24hrs or I recommend freezing them until you need them. I can also supply frozen.
