Sometimes the best made plans don't work out and you are left to improvise. This happened yesterday when I delivered this cake for a very special couple (my cousin and her new hubby). A whole third of the cake needed some repair work and armed only with a hand mixer and a bread knife I worked something out. I'm sure you'll agree the cake still looks fab and after actually getting to eat some myself, I can confirm it was delicious 😋

I know I'm closed to the public right now but I made this cake for a family friend who got married today. The inspiration was F1 Mercedes Petronas. The turquoise and silver really goes lovely together whilst still maintaining a traditional wedding cake feel. My favourite bit though has to be the family on top. Congratulations James and Emma xx

And here it is. I was that excited to show you I didn't even bother to box it up. I'd literally just finished it and had to take some pictures.
This is my new cake venture after giving up fondant. I loved making this cake and I can't wait to make more!!
I'm offering introductory rates for new bookings so please enquire if you have an occasion. I can have lovely personalised toppers made to compliment these cakes if you wanted wording et . The options are endless.

The cake is 4 layers of moist chocolate sponge cake sandwiched with vanilla and chocolate buttercream then finished with chocolate buttercream and a chocolate ganache drip. Truly indulgent and a chocolate lovers dream!! Xx

Hi everyone. As it stands i may have to cancel cupcake week as currently i have no orders. I cant make several flavours of cake in tiny quantities unfortunately so unless some orders come in i'll be cancelling at the end of the weekend.
I will still run a small draw for those who shared this for me xx

So in the wake of my fondant cakes being retired I have exciting news to share with you. I think it's safe to share this now. This wedding cake was inspired by the couples history, likes and interests. It's not a traditional wedding cake by any means but it really suits the personality of the bride and groom. The cake consists of a 12" vanilla sponge cake with jam and vanilla bean buttercream, a 10" chocolate fudge cake with sweetened dark chocolate ganache and caramel and an 8" carrot cake with ginger buttercream. It's the largest cake I've ever done and my last commissioned fondant cake. Talk about going out with a bang!! Xx

I love the sound of my kitchenaid in full swing, it's not the actual sound I like but the fact it drowns out the noise from my kids fighting in the next room 😂
