Little Black Hen I have always had a passion for cooking. A small established business specialising in bespoke cakes for any celebration.

As well as bespoke cakes for all occasions, I make artisan jams, chutneys and fruit vinegers, by hand in small batches in in my home registared Carmarthenshire Kitchen. So I was up early this morning and making jam.
Naturally after finishing everything in the kitchen I thought I may have to sample (some for quality control purposes obvs…… )
I can confirm that the new Christmas jam is delicious and I managed to take a quick photo before I scoffed the lot!!
It’ll be available on the website tomorrow when I’ve done all the necessary bits and pieces to get it all labelled up!!

Issuing up little prayers to the marmalade gods as today’s been a marmalade day here at LBH HQ. Three different flavours made in small batches with all the fruit shredded by hand. I am just hoping they set properly!! Did you know the source of the sugar affects the set with sugar from cane being much better than sugar made from sugar beet!
