Hi all,

Just a polite request to be patient with me this week if you are awaiting a response to a message, should this be an enquiry, quote or upcoming booking.
This week is proving exceptionally challenging to be able to create cakes. I’m not sure any uk cakemaker ever requested temperatures in excess of 30 degrees.

Thanks for your patience and see you on the other side of this heat wave. (Ps I love it, just not to produce bespoke cakes in).

I was delighted to receive another lovely review, this one on my Facebook reviews.

Making this cake was a delight, I love creating models like this, they were so cute for a first birthday cake and such a perfect theme. I genuinely get excited when I ask my customers if they have a theme in mind because when they tell me my creativity starts imaging it and I know I’m going to love creating something special for them.

The cake itself was a chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream, encased in chocolate ganache and covered in premium sugarpaste.

Thank you once again for the lovely review. As I’ve said a lot recently my reviews mean the world to me.

I loved bringing this 50th birthday cake to life. This lovely customer and I spent time discussing design elements that she really liked and then I took those ideas to bring them together in one beautiful design.

The top tier was a coffee sponge with coffee buttercream and the bottom tier a chocolate sponge with salted caramel buttercream. All encased in ganache and covered in sugarpaste.

It’s always so appreciated when a customer goes to the effort to leave me a review. Thank you to this lovely customer who collected her cake Friday for a celebration on Saturday and took the trouble to message me her joy with the cake and leave me a review on Sunday.

The cake in question was a chocolate sponge with a salted caramel buttercream filling. Encased in chocolate ganache, covered in sugarpaste and beautifully piped with a buttercream coloured to match the cake.

I’ve made a number of cakes and it feels apt to share this one that I haven’t posted before with the play offs looming.

The stripes were painstakingly cut and lined up to perfection.

The cake itself was a vanilla sponge with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling all encased in chocolate ganache and covered in sugarpaste.

If you’re dreaming of BBQ food over the bank holiday then you’ll love this BBQ themed cake.

Assad is apparently slightly obsessed with his so it was the obvious choice for his cake theme to celebrate his 50th birthday

As he also loves to make pizza we have a subtle nod to his pizza making skills.

The cake is a moist chocolate sponge filled with chocolate buttercream and encased in chocolate ganache.

The model of Assad and the food items are all handmade and edible.

Cakes like this are my favourite to make because they are so personal to the recipient.

Flashing back to Rosie’s 7th birthday cake which was descendants themed. Love how all the elements came together with the use of the purple, white and gold.

Rosie has always had a thing for my chocolate cake so it had to be chocolate sponge with Oreo buttercream. The cake was encased in purple ganache.

A real delight to make.
