As many of you know, the coffee shop was in the process of changing hands over the past couple of months but as life has it, curve balls and all that, circumstances changed and we are now putting it back on the market.

Thank you so very much for your amazing support and for your patience. We know that you miss your coffee shop. Help us spread the word, and hopefully it won’t be long before it re-opens.

We are approaching the handover of the coffee shop to the new owners (more info coming soon), and they are hiring for positions starting between mid September and the beginning of October. Looking for:

Full and part time kitchen staff (trained)
Full and part time barista (trained)
After school cleaner, 16-18yrs (up to 5hrs/ week)

We are selling our lovely coffee shop. We’ve come back from the Covid years with a changed set of life circumstances, interests, and aspirations and fitting the coffee shop around these is no longer possible for us.

Having served the village for the past ten years, first as OSO and then as FILL YOUR CUP, we know how important it has been as a social hub to so many people. We have many treasured loyal customers who stuck with us and supported us through Covid and we are keen that a coffee shop continues to exist in the village. Before we advertise more widely we are placing this notice here in the hope that someone local will take over.

And so, it is time to pass on the baton. For an experienced person, this is a ‘ready to go’ financially sound business; open the door and start trading. Recipes, protocols and handover guidance included. Private message us to discuss or drop your details in the shop and we will come back to you.

I am teaming up with Asaph and Aggie from FILL YOU CUP coffee shop, with Cameron and Asaph from the OSO JAZZ NIGHTS and with Karen from THRIFT VIEW BAKERY
to host an evening of fundraising for Ukraine.

If you are familiar with the lovely OSO jazz nights, this evening will follow the same format: two sets of live jazz music, small plates of lovely food and bring your own bottle. The usual menu will be replaced with traditional Ukrainian dishes. Swipe to see which dishes I am trying out this week.

Instead of a bill you will given a list of what you ordered and we will leave it up to you to decide how much to pay for the evening. We hope that you will be generous. 100% of takings will be donated to the UN Ukraine appeal. We are donating all the ingredients and our time.

Booking is a must as we have limited seating. A volunteer or two to help clean and wash up on the night would be most welcome .

Four more Jazz nights to go before the Xmas break. It really is a nice night out. Come and support these young musicians. The usual small-plate menu also has some special xmas guests:)🌲

We are pleased to welcome the wonderful drummer Kai Chareunsy to our venue this Saturday 11th December. Our association with Kai has spanned some years now and we are excited to see him again after a covid-induced break from playing together. This is not one to miss! See you there.

We are open until 4 pm for our last day. I even managed to bake some cakes and scones. Coffee all day good cakes and bakes until we run out.
