Happy 5th Birthday Henry!! Todays cake was a buttercream dinosaur 🦖 themed cake. Inside was a vanilla sponge filled with the best strawberry conserve 🍓 and buttercream, coated with white and green buttercream, oreo crumb for the dirt and mini eggs and milky bar eggs for the dino eggs 🥚 finished with buttercream leaves 🍃

Unfortunately I am still struggling with lasting glandular fever issues so still limiting the work I take on, it’s been a case of one every now and again!!

But I did enjoy getting back to the kitchen to create this customer order!!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a cake like this but pretty happy with it!! 5 layer extra tall semi naked Victoria sponge with strawberry conserve and buttercream, finished with a royal icing drip, fresh flowers, rose gold malteasers, macarons and white chocolate sails, plus of course a little bit of edible gold leaf!!
