I had been having and think and someone mentioned it this morning - where is Nanpantan?

So if you are unfamiliar with the area, it is just outside of Loughborough and is 5 minutes away from Woodhouse and Woodhouse Eaves are other locations for pop ups.

It is also 5 to 10 minutes away from Quorn, Shepshed, Mountsorrel etc so easily accessible from a variety of areas.

We run our Wednesday sessions there and have moved our Seasonal specials there for Autumn and Winter. It is a slightly bigger venue than Woodhouse so gives everyone that bit more space to play.

Look What's Inside!

THE ENCHANTED VILLAGE! 🎃🍂

Our themed sessions start this weekend - first stop Nanpantan and finishing in Kibworth! Our set ups are packed with role play resources designed to spark imaginations and keep them playing.

From cauldrons, mini beasts, potions and sweet treats out Emchanted Village is packed with details for that Autumn magic.

Children could be:
Finding ingredients to make a potion
Filling a bag with sweet treats
Adopting a peculiar pet
Brewing a pumpkin spiced latte at the cafe

Wands, brooms and baskets at the ready!

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting on Wednesday and I had an amazing morning.

Both Foundation stage and Year 1 got to enjoy our mini Wellington Place Town complete with a Vets, village store, ice cream parlour and duck pond.

All the children got stuck into play and it was lovely to see the stories they created and the stations that were the most played with. We had a very busy vets with Foundation Stage and lots of ice creams served whilst Year 1 loved catching the the baddies and putting out the wooden fires.

Thank you to all the staff for making me feel super welcome and all the children who let me join in with their play.

Our Autumn sessions haven't even started but our Christmas sessions are all sorted.

We will be back in Burbage and Welford with Christmas Village which I am so excited for!

I absolutely love this theme, theres something special about that time of year.

We will have so many stations for you to enjoy plus lots of little details to add that extra magic. There will be....

🧁 the gingerbread bakery
🎅 Santa's sleigh
🦌 the reindeer stables
🔧 Santa's workshop
🎭 the theatre
❄️ the North Pole
🎄 Christmas home corner
✉️ Christmas post office

Plus fingers crossed a brand new station.. The Elf Dormitory!

We will also have our Noon Year tickets released at the end of the month too!

I have lots of different lovely pumpkins in our pumpkin patch - felt ones, wooden ones and knitted ones. So I thought why not add some actual pumpkins to our patch.

So off we went as a family to a local pumpkin patch to pick some out. There were so many to choose from and even blue ones (who knew pumpkins were just orange, yellow and green).

My pair had great fun pushing them in the wheelbarrow as well as enjoying the corn maze, displays and tractor ride.

Look out for them at our sessions. Starting off to Nanpantan next week!

Whilst playing in our set ups, children are developing skills without even realising.

There's so much going on beneath the play. What are some of the things they are learning when at the pizzeria ....

🌟 imagination when creating pizza topping. I remember at party once when someone srve me a pizza with a 1000 slugs and snails
🌟 counting when adding toppings
🌟 fine motor skills when cutting up the pizza
🌟 new vocabulary - cutting, slice, menu, toppings, delivery etc.

Role play teaches learning through play naturally.

There's so much more than just play!

This past weekend was storage locker moving day!

We spent most of the day with trips to get more racking, trolley trips between each locker and trips to and from the house.

It was ao nice to be able to put boxes on racking and not on the floor. Plus have a whole set of racking for our Autumn and Christmas bits rather than all at the back of the locker.

I think by the end of the weekend we were shocked with how much we had managed to squeeze into the other one.

The best part actually being able to walk into the locker and not having to move stands and boxes or even climbing over them.
