I never wanted to make this kind of post here, but unfortunately I feel like it’s overdue and really needs to be addressed.
To my not-so-nice surprise, I’ve found out that every week the cake shed is open, some people try to take advantage of my kindness and honesty system. Sadly, some are not being honest when paying cash into the honesty box — putting in 1p or random 10p coins that don’t add up, or even pretending to pay when in reality no payment was made.
Rest assured, I do know who you are. The cameras inside and outside the shed help me keep track, and I always check and empty the cash box after each cash payment. I’m not saying it’s impossible to mislead me, but it is very difficult.
I could very easily post videos or images here to publicly shame those responsible, but that’s simply not who I am.
So I kindly ask those of you who are doing this — and you will know who you are — please do not come to my shed anymore.
As I’ve always said, and truly believe, my cake shed is not just about selling cakes. It’s about sharing kindness, trust, and a little bit of happiness. I won’t allow that to be spoiled for the many amazing and honest people I’ve had the chance to meet — people who have shown genuine appreciation, kindness, and support.
