An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Activities Support Worker to join our established team at Your Life Care Solutions in Great Horkesley, Colchester.
We are a specialist care provider offering supported living for adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and other additional needs.

About the Role
As an Activities Support Worker, you will:
* Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support.
* Promote independence, dignity, choice, safety and wellbeing.
* Support individuals on a 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1 basis, depending on their needs.
* Encourage participation in activities both at home and in the community.
* Support people to enjoy activities such as shopping, swimming, college and cinema trips.
* Accompany individuals to family visits, health appointments and planned outings.
* Build positive relationships and encourage involvement in all aspects of daily life.
* Complete essential cleaning duties, documentation and record keeping.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has a compassionate, caring and positive attitude.
* Can work independently and as part of a team.
* Has excellent communication skills.
* Is reliable, flexible and able to maintain a can-do attitude during challenging situations.
* Holds a full, clean UK driving licence (essential) due to the locations and activities involved.
* Has at least one year of experience in supported living (desirable).
* Has knowledge of CQC standards and relevant care practices, including safeguarding adults (SOVA), the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs) and the 6Cs (desirable).
