🎂 7 YEARS OF CAKES, CHAOS & QUESTIONING MY LIFE CHOICES! 🤣🥂Swipe to see my very first cake LOL 🤣

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY TO MY Love at first bite 🩷

Seven whole years!!! 7 years of early mornings, late nights, buttercream EVERYWHERE, hundreds of cakes, thousands of eggs and a concerning amount of conversations with myself.

What started off as a side hustle somehow turned into 7 years of…

🎂 Saying “I’m not taking any more orders this week”… then taking another 6.

🧁 Working 14-hour days because apparently being self-employed means having the world’s worst boss (myself)😵‍💫

🎂 Thinking “this will only take me an hour”… 5 hours later, still smoothing buttercream.

🧁 Spending half my life washing up and the other half wondering where I’ve put my bloody scraper.

🎂 Taking 86 photos of the same cake, only to post one.

🧁 Saying “NEVER AGAIN” at least three times a week… and then doing it all again the next morning.

🎂 Spending 7 years making beautiful, picture-perfect cakes whilst looking like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards behind the scenes. Honestly, if you could see the state of me compared to the cakes, you’d wonder who needed decorating more! 🤣

Somehow, amongst the chaos, the sleepless nights, the buttercream meltdowns and the occasional urge to launch a cake out of the window, I’ve managed to build a business that I’m incredibly proud of. 🥹🩷

I’ve made hundreds of cakes, met some absolutely lovely people and had the privilege of being part of so many birthdays, weddings and special occasions.

And none of it would have been possible without my loyal customers 🥹

Whether you’ve ordered a cake, recommended me, liked a post or simply put up with my constant cake spam, THANK YOU! ❤️

Here’s to 7 years of doing what I love, working ridiculous hours and still having the audacity to tell people “I love being my own boss.” 🤡🤣

7 years down… and still not a clue how to take a day off! 🥂🎂💕

And apparently I’m supposed to celebrate with cake… so here we go… but I can’t think of anything worse… I’ll have a w**e instead… CHEERS 🍷

We go again 😮 ✨ THREE YEARS IN A ROW!! ✨

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this again… my little cake business has been nominated for the County Brides Awards for the THIRD year running! 🥹🎂🤍

The biggest THANK YOU to every single person who took the time to nominate me. Knowing that couples I’ve made cakes for have gone out of their way to put my name forward honestly means more than you know. If you haven’t already - please head to the County Brides website and place your vote ❤️

Running a small business on your own can be a bit of a rollercoaster — lots of late nights, buttercream-covered kitchens and wondering why on earth I chose a job where I regularly have to transport a three-tier cake in a car 😂 — but moments like this make it all so worth it.

To be recognised alongside so many amazing wedding suppliers for the third year running is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Thank you to every couple who has trusted me with such an important part of their wedding day, recommended me, shared my work, left a lovely review or simply cheered me on. 🥹🥂🎂✨

Never have I ever taken 2 weeks away from Love at first bite. HOWEVER, it’s been a crazy, crazy year , and not only do I need 2 weeks off for my own sanity 🤪 (love you all though….and wouldn’t be here without you) but I’m off to get married and need to try (TRY) and not be glued to my phone 24/7. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll reply because I can’t help myself …. but it won’t be as prompt as normal. Once again thankyou for your continued support ❤️ See you soooooon 💍
