Who are we?
🏡 The Snack Shed

What are we?
We're a fully self-service honesty shed, offering tasty treats and drinks in a beautiful countryside setting.

What do we sell?
🍰 Homemade treats – all lovingly handmade by me, including cakes, brownies, cookies, flapjacks and crispy slices.

☕ Hot drinks – cappuccinos, americanos, lattes, tea and hot chocolate.

🥤 Cold drinks – our fridge is stocked with a great selection of soft drinks.

🍦 Ice cream & ice lollies – our freezer is packed with a variety of ice creams and refreshing lollies.

Where are we?
📍 At the bottom of Henthorn Road in Clitheroe (past the tip).

How do you get here?
🚶 On foot only – sorry, we don't have a car park.

Some popular walking routes:
🌿 Around 15 minutes across the fields from The Aspinall Arms.
🌊 Around 20 minutes from the Edisford pay-and-display car park, following the river.
🚗 Or park in the lay-bys down our lane and enjoy a short 5-minute walk – perfect for little bikes, scooters and prams.

Looking to get out for a walk this weekend? 🌿🥾

There are loads of great walking routes that include a stop at The Snack Shed:

1️⃣ Edisford Walk – Flat, off-road and pram/wheelchair friendly. Approx. 1.5 miles.

2️⃣ Mitton Riverside Walk – Wander through fields and along the River Ribble, with the option to stop at The Aspinall for a pint 🍺 Approx. 1 mile.

3️⃣ Aspinall Arms Circular – A lovely circular route of around 3 miles.

4️⃣ Mitton to Edisford Bridge Circular – Follow one side of the River Ribble and return down the other. Approx. 6.2 miles.

5️⃣ Whalley Road Circular – Head under the railway bridge and down towards Henthorn Road. Approx. 3.8 miles.

Perfect for a family stroll or dog walk. And all include Ice Cream and Cake!

We are so excited to open the doors to our new self-service cabin, right in the heart of the beautiful Forest of Bowland.
Behind the bakes is a tiny team of two: myself, Megan, and my 6-month-old daughter Lainey! 👶🏼✨

Whether you’re exploring the beautiful Bowland countryside, on a weekend bike ride, or just fancy something sweet, the cabin is fully stocked with our homemade cakes and treats.

We definitely are!

We’ve added lots of new toys and games to The Snack Shed Garden, including 🚜 tractors, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Giant Dominoes and even a playhouse!

Make a day of it…
🐾 Spot the 13 hidden animals along the lane on your way down
🎲 Enjoy some garden games
🧺 Bring a picnic
☕ Grab a hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate — or a cold drink from the fridge
🍦 Treat yourselves to an ice cream or a slice of homemade cake

And if that’s not enough, why not finish the day with a paddle in the river at Edisford on the way back? 💦
