Looking for a FREE activity to keep the kids entertained this summer? We’ve got you covered!

This summer, your little ones can become undercover agents as they follow our exciting trail, searching for 8 secret clues and solving the mystery questions along the way. Once they’ve completed the mission, it’s time to head to The Snack Shed to crack the code, unlock the safe and claim their prize! 🔐🎉

After the adventure, why not relax in The Snack Shed garden with a refreshing drink, Mrs Dowsons ice cream or a slice of homemade cake, while the children enjoy our garden games, including giant Connect 4 and giant dominoes.

📅 The trail runs from Friday 17th July until Sunday 6th September
🕣 Open 7 days a week during our usual opening hours.
💷 Completely FREE to take part!

👶 100% pram friendly!

Trail sheets can be collected from the start of the trail by the recycling centre, or you can download one from our page.

The entire trail takes place along the lane from the recycling centre to The Snack Shed, with all 8 clues located on the lane—you won’t need to leave the path at any point.

Not within walking distance?

🚗 From Clitheroe: Park at Edisford Pay & Display and enjoy a lovely riverside walk to us. If you have little legs with you, there is also limited roadside parking just before the recycling centre.

🚗 From Mitton: Park near The Aspinall Arms and enjoy a scenic 15-minute walk through the fields to The Snack Shed. (Please note this route isn’t suitable for prams.)

Something a little different from The Snack Shed this weekend! 🥰

My wonderful sister-in-law married my new brother-in-law on Saturday, and this was their gift from us — a whole table of Snack Shed treats! 🍰🤎

It was so lovely to be able to make something a little bit personal for their special day. ❤️

Congratulations to you both! 🥂💍 Here’s to a lifetime of happiness together! xx

A few people have asked how to walk to The Snack Shed from the new play area at Edisford, so here’s the easiest route 👇

🌳 Follow the path down from the park alongside the River Ribble. This will bring you out onto Henthorn Road.

➡️ Turn right onto Henthorn Road and cross over the bridge.

🚶‍♀️ Just after the bridge, take the private road down to the right, just past the recycling centre.

🍰 Follow the lane and you’ll soon reach The Snack Shed!

It’s a lovely little walk from the new play area and makes a great excuse to combine a trip to the park with a drink, ice cream or homemade cake at The Shed. ❤️

We’re only around a 15-minute walk from the park!

🌳 Have you been to the new park at Edisford Bridge yet? 🌳

We had a walk down to the amazing new park today and were really impressed! There’s something for all ages, so it’s definitely worth a visit. 😍

And the best bit… it’s only around a 15-minute walk from The Snack Shed, along a lovely, easy walk by the River Ribble. 🌿🚶‍♀️

So why not combine the two? Enjoy a walk, let the kids burn off some energy at the park, then head down to The Snack Shed for a homemade cake, ice cream or a drink! 🍦🍰☕
