There’s something incredibly special about a smaller wedding.

This elegant two tier cake was delivered to Mitton Hall for Andrew & Sherry’s beautiful bijou wedding on one of those gloriously sunny July days that couldn’t have been more perfect for an outdoor ceremony.

Keeping the design timeless, we decorated the cake with fresh white roses, delicate seasonal blooms and soft greenery, finished with a personalised topper to celebrate the happy couple. An acrylic spacer between the two tiers added height and elegance, creating a beautiful point of interest that lifted the overall design and allowed the fresh flowers to become a striking focal feature.

One thing I absolutely love about intimate weddings is how personal they feel. With fewer guests, every detail has room to shine, and the day becomes all about celebrating with the people who matter most.

Planning a midweek wedding? They’re becoming an increasingly popular choice, offering greater venue availability, a more relaxed atmosphere and often helping couples make the most of their wedding budget without compromising on style or those all important special touches.

You’d never guess this was my first ever fondant-covered wedding cake… 🤍

Finished in smooth ivory fondant with clean, contemporary tiers and an oversized, softly draped bow, this design is the perfect balance of timeless elegance and modern romance. Inspired by classic styling with an editorial, couture feel, it’s a reminder that sometimes the simplest designs make the biggest statement.

Creating this cake pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I’m so proud of how it turned out. It was an absolute pleasure to bring this vision to life for a beautiful styled shoot at Holmes Mill back in April, alongside such a talented team.

A cake that feels like a moment suspended in time ✨🤍

For this styled shoot at in Bolton by Bowland, I wanted to create something that felt romantic, editorial and effortlessly modern, and this design delivered all of that and more. Vintage piping continues to have such a moment right now, but paired with clean lines, delicate script and overflowing florals, it becomes something timeless rather than trend led.

The message “And so the adventure begins” felt like the perfect finishing touch, a beautiful reminder that wedding cakes are more than dessert; they become part of the story, the atmosphere and the memories of the day.

So beautifully captured by the incredibly talented AJM Photography with the dreamiest floral styling by cool AF florist 🔥✌️ soft whites and flowing textures that framed the cake perfectly and brought the whole vision to life.

During their Wedding Showcase on Sunday 18th January, a whole host of incredibly talented wedding suppliers came together to transform an already beautiful venue into an absolute dream wedding setting.

Set in the heart of the Ribble Valley, this beautifully restored 17th-century inn is full of charm, character and warmth. With deep reds, layered textures and gorgeous florals, the space felt rustic, romantic and relaxed, with breathtaking views, gardens and period features at every turn.

One of the best and most fun parts of wedding planning… cake tasting! 🤍🍰

Every couple who books their wedding cake with me receives a tasting box as part of my consultation process. If you’ve already booked your wedding cake with me and you’re getting married before November you should have received an email with details about your upcoming tasting boxes, so if you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check your inboxes!
