Small wedding, big flavours ✨

Saturday’s wedding for C&L was a beautifully intimate celebration surrounded by their closest friends and family, and instead of a traditional cake, they chose this showstopping brownie and blondie cake stack.

Each layer brought something different to the table:

🤎 Double chocolate brownie filled with white and dark chocolate ganache
🍪 Double chocolate brownie filled with Oreo ganache
✨ Biscoff blondie filled with Biscoff and white chocolate ganache
🍋 Lemon meringue blondie topped with homemade lemon curd, and crushed meringue

Finished with berries, edible flowers and gold detailing, this cake was the perfect combination of elegant and indulgent.

I absolutely love creating alternatives to traditional wedding cakes, and this one was a dream to put together. Every slice offered guests something different, making it a real talking point during the celebrations.

One wild celebration for a very special first birthday! 🦒🦁🐵💚

This safari-themed cake was created to celebrate turning ONE, and I absolutely loved bringing this design together.

Inside was a rich chocolate sponge layered with chocolate and strawberry buttercream — a combination that’s always a winner! The outside featured an ombré green buttercream finish, touches of gold leaf, dried grasses and a jungle-inspired balloon arrangement to complete the safari look.

The real stars of the show, though, have to be the adorable safari animals! Created by the talented Magic Moments 3D Farm, these gorgeous keepsakes can be treasured long after the last slice of cake has been eaten, making them a lovely reminder of such a special milestone birthday. ✨

The final cake from last week’s busy run of celebrations 🍋✨

This stunning 30th birthday cake featured eight layers of lemon sponge, filled with silky vanilla buttercream and homemade lemon curd, before being finished in a semi-naked style and decorated with candied lemons and fresh lemon tree leaves.

The leaves came straight from my garden at Wicked Whisk Bakes HQ, making this cake feel even more special 🌿💛

I absolutely love the combination of bright lemon, fresh greenery and clean, elegant styling — perfect for a milestone birthday celebration.

✨ A beautifully elegant cake for a beautiful day ✨

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of creating this two-tier wedding cake for Danni & her new husband at Old Gore Barn, just outside Cirencester 🤍

Keeping things timeless and understated, the cake was finished with a textured buttercream design and adorned with stunning cherry blossom details, lovingly created by the bride herself 🌸 Such a special personal touch that tied everything together perfectly.

🍋 Top tier: Lemon sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and homemade lemon curd
🍫 Bottom tier: Marbled chocolate and vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream

And because everyone deserves something delicious, guests with dietary requirements were also treated to my gluten-free vegan lemon blondies 💛

Congratulations once again to Danni and her husband. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your wonderful day – it was a pleasure creating your wedding cake and sweet treats for your celebration ✨

Another sponge cake from last week - Happy Birthday to my sister 💖🎂
One of the perks of having a baker in the family definitely has to be the birthday cakes!

This year’s cake was a strawberry sponge layered with vanilla buttercream and a lemon curd swirl, coated in silky vanilla buttercream and finished with more lemon curd swirls and freeze-dried strawberries 🍓🍋

Fresh, light and full of flavour — I think this flavour combination is going to be a very popular one this year ✨

I might be biased… but this one could be one of my favourites yet 👀

Yesterday’s wedding at Birtsmorton Court was truly something special ✨

G&L have been an absolute dream to work with throughout the planning process for their big day, and seeing everything come together in such a beautiful setting was incredible 💍🤍

For their wedding breakfast dessert, guests enjoyed:
🤎 Tiramisu cheesecake
🥭 Mango & passionfruit cheesecake
🍋 Gluten-free vegan lemon cheesecakes in individual pots

Then later in the evening came the sweet treats table — packed with an array of brownies and caramel shortbread for guests to tuck into ✨
