Heyyyy, just a quick question:
A young girl came to our cake cakery about 14.30 today. I am in the bakery with our door open and saw her :) she got 3 brownies and maybe picked up a cookie pie too. Our Riley is heading off on his travels around Europe for a little while! 🥹

As an avid traveller myself, I’m SO excited for him to get out there, explore new places, make some amazing memories and have the best time, although it’s definitely bittersweet for us because he’s going to be very sorely missed by all of us at the Cakery! 🥰🍰

Riley has become such a big part of our little Cakery team and we’re all going to miss having him around. Last night we had a little send-off at Dunkertons to raise a glass to his next adventure. 🥂

Have the BEST time, stay safe, take far too many photos, taste all the foods of Europe, including all the bakeries and enjoy every second of it.

It’s not goodbye, just see you soon, Riley🌎

Norway 🇳🇴
Well what a trip that was! Just shy of 4,000 miles driven in our car with our camper pod. It was such a beautiful trip, the pictures just don't do it justice but it was a fun-filled adventure and thoroughly enjoyed!

We spent the time enjoying nature by driving around exploring, kayaking fjords, learning about the Vikings, exploring the cities and taking many road tunnels and ferries! Highly recommend.

Gloucester > Channel Tunnel > France > Belgium > Germany > Denmark > Norway.

Without my fabulous team and family this trip wouldn't have been possible. It's the first time I've left the business open and running as if I was there and it went swimmingly! I can't thank Riley, Poppy & Iona enough for your support and work, I am blessed with a great team! Wouldn't be a holiday without me checking in and my family were on it helping and supporting the team too!

Norway... you've been beautiful thank you!

Let's talk SEASONS!
We are approaching my favourite time of year 🎃🍂🎄🎆

Flavours and our menu: as you all know we have been battling the heat and we had to take certain items off our counter and adapt as everything was melting! But with welcoming the cooler weather we can bring back some of our favourites like tiffins, yule logs, millionaire shortbread and much more! I also have been experimenting with some new flavours and bakes and can't wait to share them with you.

Our counter will go return back to offer more cakes on the counter and the release of our Halloween & Christmas shop. These are handmade gifts items such a fudge, cake jars, chocolate bars, sweet bottles and much more!

I know it is early to be thinking about the 'C' word...Christmas! But I am changing it up this year for our pre-order menu, adding some new and exciting bakes to the menu!

Thank you so much for your continued support of our local cakery. I always wanted to create a community, local space for the village and encourage community spirit, this we have with our fantastic customers like yourselves 🥰

P.s chocolate Bruce cake and hot dessert evenings will be returning too! 🙌
