A cheese and wine afternoon was the perfect way to spend the afternoon at Astley View. The conversations flowed as the cheese was served and new friendships were discovered. We spent the afternoon in the garden as a gentle breeze filled the air and stories were told of where we were from and the memories we had. The residents enjoyed the selection of chesses with the Wensleydale and cranberries coming out on top.

We made the most of the sunshine with a fun afternoon in the garden, trying our hands at swing ball, tin can alley, noughts and crosses, table tennis, and even a giant cup‑toss game that brought out everyone’s competitive side. Residents also enjoyed some well‑earned ice lollies to keep cool and hydrated. It was a lovely mix of movement, fresh air, and simple joy, reminding us how much these shared moments matter.
