Baking these was such a joy! Amelia’s bridal party celebrated her ‘Last Toast on the Coast’ in sunny Brighton. 🌊

Since Amelia loves the sea and lemon drizzle, I combined both into these individual floral wreath cakes. Drizzled to perfection, decorated with delicate Little Garden Bakes petals, and wrapped up with a seaside-blue ribbon.

This stunning Lambeth-style heart cake was ordered by a proud sister to celebrate the amazing Taya! 👩‍🎓
Hidden beneath that flawless, intricate vintage piping is a rich, decadent chocolate cake layered with creamy white chocolate buttercream.

We topped it off with a completely handmade fondant scroll and mortar board to mark this massive milestone. It is elegant, timeless, and tastes just as sweet as success. Congratulations, Taya!

Why I swapped my spade for a whisk 👩🏻‍🍳

Starting Little Garden Bakes came from doctors orders! I had years of being a garden designer and horticulturist behind me when my arthritis reached the point where I could no longer handle the physical demands of garden design. I felt like I’d lost my way because I had all this knowledge of plants but suddenly no way to share it. But then I thought about my other passion: baking. So I brought the garden in to the kitchen. Using the flowers, herbs and produce I grow myself means I get to share my garden with you all, one slice at a time.
I’ve rediscovered my purpose, providing honest, seasonal bakes full of heart
